Most of the crap RT takes from MW is because it's posted in the wrong place or people troll for some kind of justification even though they know the majority of the people here hate Robotech. It even says not to defend RT or recieve heat in the guides and rules. Skullone took that rule to the heart and that's why he's gone, but what little heat people get now is well deserved. If we were nice to noobies about that mistake they're sure took take advantage. Try not to simplify it with your little quip about paint smears. I get as pissed at crappy Yamato paint as I do with Toynami's.

The LD's have been ripped and put into DVD format. Just download the damn things and stop crying. Hell, there are multiple versions of the Trilogy out there that are DVD ready. If Lucas does not want to make any money off the origianl versions that is his problem.

If your DVD is bad go return the damn thing and get another. There are good batches and bad batches. They probably used multiple companies to get such a large amout of DVD's pressed.

You can get the set for $45.99 at Target. That is $15.33 per disc. That is about the typical price of a new release. You people also want the 3 original versions included for that price? That would be $7.67 per movie. I don't see that happening.

My theories don't superceed the author. I just don't have access to these set diaries. All my statements are based on what I've read regarding the films and such. In light of this, I'd say that not all Stormtroopers are clones. Otherwise, what's the point of the Imperial Academies? Why are the officiers not clones. If they recruit officers, why not Stormtroopers as well? It still doesn't explain why you seem so interested in rustling my feathers.

I have to say before I knew about Macross I really dug those books, they added alot more character development, tidbits on the carrier operations, more everything......then I saw Macross and a had wee little bonfire   But speaking of anime books, I heard they were reprinting the OLD Gundam novels.....any word?

the old gundam novels was translated by Fred Schodts for Del Rey Books in 3 books, so far published only once that I know of... it was not that bad, and it was more detailed gruesome than the anime... there is also a brief history of the Gundam series in general, it even talked about how the fans in Japan got so ravenous just for the model kits.

btw, the ending for the original book greatly differs to that of the anime series.

here's what you can expect from the book and not in the anime... sex, violence, gore (not Al Gore), battles and a good read.

now back to Macross..., I too read the book... I gotta admit, it wasn't that bad, atleast it does something good that Robocrap didn't have... "a story", or atleast a sense of cohesiveness that the bastardization of Macross, Southern Cross and Mospeadea 21 lacked.

The three Gundam books were just reprinted. They are all in one book now. The Gundam story in the books is far superior to the show. No boy and his bot BS. Amuro was actually trained to use the Gundam.

Can I recommend some anime to you? I strongly recommend Ghost in The Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Very good show, even if you disliked the 1995 film, odds are you'll enjoy the series. Can everyone tell I like this new series?

Bad news, it's not set for release until late next year.

Worse news...it's been licensed by Funimation, so it will likely be 1 episode per disc & span an immensly long release cycle (bastards!)

The DVD's are not cut. Material needs to be edited to be on mainstream teli in the States. Get over it and buy the DVD's.
