I had a ton of issues with my amazon.co.jp Roy order today when they tried to charge my debit card.
The charge problems aren't unusual. However this time when I got it cleared from my bank amazon still rejected it. First time that has happened.
Then I added the payment via amazon store credit, but when I tried applying the balance to the order it gave me technical errors. So I thought for a moment I would have $200+ stuck on amazon.co.jp and a cancelled Roy.
I wound up using the order help function, changed my shipping address to a Tenso address I already had on there, and got the credit applied. Now I have to deal with Tenso and added shipping cost, but it worked.
What an ordeal.

I'm 95% done with Macross collecting. Just reading through this thread every day confirms it. It's gotten to damn hard/annoying/frustrating and most of all to damn expensive. It really shouldn't be THIS hard to spend my hard earned money on glorified toys which, let's face it, are only worth at most about $150. (DX VF-1's) Good luck to all going for this line from here on out. I'm out.
I mostly just get Roy and Hikaru VF-1S toys (my favorite style of Valkyrie due to the head not looking like a giant security camera). So I'm about done myself.

I know the VF-1D will sell out fast, but will it be as fast as Roy's VF-1S or will there be couple minutes where its possible to order one?

I had the Godaikin version of this as a kid, or possibly a good looking knock-off version. At that time I only knew of it as a robot toy and not the Gordian Warrior anime series since I was just a child in the USA.
I will probably try to get this when it comes out. I liked that original Godaikin version a lot. -
I got a lot of deja-vu to the 1984 Lynch version of the movie from this trailer. I mostly enjoy the 1984 version.
That said I'm not excited for this one. Maybe its due to the feeling I've seen it before already. I will watch it at some point. Probably at home.

Its not a good film. It reminds me of the Star Wars sequels in many ways in that it negates the ending of the last movie from decades ago all to justify the new cash grab sequel. Very whiplash fast paced too like The Rise of Skywalker to fit everything into the running time.
Spoilers
SpoilerWhat is with the future council sending a Terminator to kill Bill and Ted? They based their entire society on their music. Its terrible writing.

There's also the future lightgun peripheral that has its software & tech fully licensed. It's not the prettiest, but if it works with Hogan's Alley, Duck Hunt, Lethal Enforcers, Terminator 2: Judgements Day, Virtua Cop 1 & 2, and Snatcher then I'm game.
I do wish somebody would use the Wii/infrared method of light guns on modern displays rather than this one where you see a distracting white border around the game.

Wait. So the head fin sticking out forward in plane mode are in the official sales photos? I was hoping that was just a bad photo shoot. Oh well. I will probably be keeping it in robot mode only anyway.

They will have to bring Bruce back for a third TRON. At least for his voice.
He can say he won't be back, but even Harrison Ford came back for The Rise of Skywalker. You just need a big enough paycheck.

SSP is released *for everyone else who did not order at NY*...
You just reminded me that I ordered mine there.
Should I give up on the NY order and try to find them elsewhere?

TV Super Parts available here https://www.kuramatoys.com/dx-chogokin-super-parts-set-for-tv-edition-vf-1/
Got a set. Thanks for the link.

I managed to get Roy's VF-1S without much fuss, but it looks like this latest parts set is going to be trickier. Guess the only thing to do now is wait and see what shows up in the thread.

With the suspension of many outbound countries from Japanpost, you will need to consider what alternative shipping service is offer and how much.
Shipping from some stores would be around $70-90 or more per dx Valk , unless you choose the slower shipping like Ferry (boat)
If you want a VF-1S Hikaru, Amazon japan have one for a pretty good price of JPY 29,490 with DHL shipping included ($275 USD)
It's the one listed for ¥29,800 + ¥2,399 shipping , Add it in cart and they will remove the sales tax to 27,091 yen
I got it. Thank you!

Think I just got one from amazon.co.jp. Thanks!

If you don't want to be "Cart Jacked, in the Spinning Wheel of Death or experience Website Crashes", then you can pick a unit up after release date at a slight mark up @pablumatic.
Just hang around here and enjoy the craziness during the pre-order night. I'm going to be in the sidelines as I have pre-order for the re-release of the Arcadia VF-1J with the GBP this August.
That's what I will be doing.
Bandai and other companies limiting pre-orders to a specific number of units rather than giving a time period and fulfilling all orders has always been bizarre to me. They could make so much more money that way.

So 3am Friday morning July 3rd for the east coast of the U.S.?
I've missed every pre-order so far for Bandai stuff. I don't think that will change this time either.

We got three Palpatine prequels already and very few liked them that much. Take a hint, Disney.

I'm going to be a nattering nabob of negativity as well and throw more shade on the show.
Picard definitely felt like a sequel to Nemesis, in that both are bad and depressing. So I guess it has that going for it unlike the Star Wars sequels which took a previously happy ending and crushed it. I wasn't stricken so harshly by what I saw. It was more of a "Oh this again." feeling.
Everything in this show about Data was weird and creepy. Which is not how I wanted to remember the character (or Picard for that matter).
Oh well.
-
If I watch any future Star Wars movie it'll be at home. Not paying theater prices for any of that again.

This 3rd episode was a stinker.
Why does Picard have so many hidden phasers around the house?
Agreed.
Just want to address that question about the phasers. In episode two Picard's Romulan Tal Shiar helpers did note that Jean-Luc would be a target for whomever killed Dajh. It would make sense for them to put phasers everywhere.

Do we really need f-bombs in a series associated with The Next Generation? They should have kept that to Discovery, and preferably not there either.
Guess they're really trying to get that Tarantino edgy angle going somehow.

...but for TROS....they literally had "good" info on every single scene in the movie....I do not think I have ever read a full script leak that actually ended up being 100% FACT...the dialogue was just about the only missing bit...and they even leaked some of that too...it's almost as if Disney just didn't care
The only other time its happened that I've seen like this is for season 8 of Game of Thrones and the same reaction happened. Nobody could believe the leaks since they were so bad, yet as every episode was released they kept being proven true. It was quite the scene.

I did back the R-Type Final 2 Kickstarter on day one.
Its not often, or ever these days, that a high profile shooter like this comes out.

I remembered my own set of SSP from them last week and cancelled.
They refused to give me my money back and gave me store credit instead. I guess I'm up a creek here with them.
Someday I'll use that credit, but that will be my last time I deal with them.
