The best stuff I have found (and I have tried them all) is made by a company called Hemmi Papilio Supplies (HPS). Here's their website:
The ALPS decal paper is listed under "laser decal paper" and carries the name "Papilio Aqua Slide (PAS)". It's A LOT more expensive than other brands, but they have awesome QC and customer service. I've never had a problem printing on their paper. Whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER FROM BELDECAL.COM. They are the worst company to deal with and their paper sucks. One thing about HPS is that you shouldn't be in a hurry when you order. Sometimes it can take up to 2-3 weeks for your shipment to arrive. They also make awesome (and again, expensive) vinyl sticker paper, which is what I use for my custom sticker sets.
Due to a shipping screw-up with HPS, I have a ton of inkjet decal paper instead of the PAS I ordered (~30 sheets). Their inkjet paper is incredible, but I don't need it. Anyone want to buy it off me cheap?
I am still planning on making a "how to" thread with step by step instructions for those of you who want to make your own decals. I was thinking of doing it wm cheng style as I put together the 1/60 Ostrich and Elint sets....
Did the "How to" ever get made?
I know it's 14 years too late, but do you still have that inject paper?

Is your 1/285 file available for download? I'd like to print one out. I was gifted a 3d printer to play with

Woa! That's brutal

Ouch! Yea, not cool.

Wicked cool!

I do remember that scene in DYRL. But he was going up into gerwalk, coming down might be more tricky to do on a constant bases for landings.
If the fighter is damaged and can only land in get walk, I'm sure that there's contingencies for that.
At the end of the day, anime magic has always baffled people, so making things look reasonable shouldn't be a big issue.

Very cool. I'm sure with the noise the fighter makes, the fishing boat guys would probably taking dives into the water by then. Haha

Looking good.

agreed... and perhaps another reason those twin Tail Hooks are mounted on the insides of each engine nacelle: Engineers noted a larger amount of stress on the tail/back rocket motor's hinges because of the VF-0 using a traditional Naval Tail hook? a really awesome VF-0 mishap diorama would be that said VF-0 with a tail separated (partially or completely) from rest of the airframe... maybe showing the damaged plane getting ready to slide off the side of the ship (with the pilot in process to punch out!) with the tail/motor assembly still caught on the #3 wire?
Now THAT is a good idea.

Brake fluid would remove the paint without damaging the plastic.

Would be nice to see how much you have improved. Your 2002 art is outstanding.

That's cool. Get em started early. Glad the CFO enjoyed herself too.

Good ol' Betsy. Always reliable. Haha

Awesome watch. I like the style.

Never thought about "on what."
A 1/72 scale box art would probably be cheaper to ship.

Can someone get me an autograph? I'll pay for the service.
-
Yes, build it.

Is there a high interest in these kits, or just a few people here and there? If someone spends the $5 grand on the 1/32 Legioss, is there enough demand to make the purchase worth it?
-
The masters for those are still for sale?
-
Yea, after I didn't get an email from their last run, I would check periodically, once it was mentioned that it would be released again, I checked every other day. I was lucky since it sold out in 1 day.
-
they had 10 this morning... not a bad little seller!
Wow, I missed the last run, I couldn't miss this one. I checked every other day, so I'll consider myself lucky.

An update. Neptune Models has 2 more available in the starship modeler store. I just picked 1 up just now.

That's cool. I like the way you integrated the colors just right.
