I'm guessing it was staged... I kind of doubt otaku would throw big slumber parties, they most likely prefer private time with their pillows... You'd be surprised what people and especially otaku would do. I remember watching an MTV documentary on people with fetishes for big furry animal costumes. They called each other "furries" and it went as far as describing how "furries" have sex with each other. They would cut holes in the genital regions of their big furry goofy costumes and then do freaky crap with each other while in costume. Funny as hell watching Wally the Moose making it with Daffy Duck. The participants weren't always guy/girl either. Anyone else see this documentary? It was something like "True Life - Furries" or something like that. Anyways, this otaku slumber party seems tame in comparison. Don't believe me? What's funny is that I noticed that this is not the first time Mary McDonnell (who played the President) played the part of a politician during an alien invasion. She was also the first lady in Independance Day.

But does that then change your actual displayed post number when you post in threads? I don't think it does.

Look at it this way for all the gripers, it could be worse - you could be watching Star Trek Voyager. I actually think that it's been better sci fi TV than most offerings in the past 5 years. Enterprise is falling flat on its face, and I don't think anyone really cares much about Stargate SG-1. Everytime I see the big bald black guy with eyeliner, it just makes me wince. Did anyone notice the verniers on the fighters? That was pretty damn cool. The handheld camera work was a nice touch. And the AWACS thing Boomer was flying with the guy reminded me of both the episode when Misa was in the AWACS escorted by Vermillion squadron and the movie when Misa and Kaifun were in the equally boxy AWACS ship and had to run from the Zentran power armors. I felt there were more than a few similarities to things in Macross.

Now that you bring that up, note that the guy at the bottom has his pillow wrapped in a towel...

This probably is a very old question, but I couldn't find anything using search on the FAQ or Feedback forums, so I'm asking - for old members that had a high post count on the old forum, is there a way to retain your old post count? I had an old account, but it never responded after the new forum came up. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
