It's not about being from the orient that's insulting. That term is already struck down from books since the 70's, iirc.

It's just that "oriental" means rug to most asians/asian-americans people like me.

Hmm, I was informed by one of the Japanese people in town that his people most definetly did not want to be called asian (that was for people from Asia.) Has this changed? It was a number of years ago.

Bandai Entertainment Bible #51 does state that the gigantic-sized space battleship Macross Cannons are made up of Nupetiet-Vergnitzs Zjentohlauedy battleships (each which are 4000m in length) so that would make the Macross Cannons about 6000+ meter in length. Also you can see a size comparison of the Zjentohlauedy picket ship in front the bow of one of the Macross Cannon in the screen capture I took below:

As far as the Macross Compendium is concerned, while I am thankful for Egan Loo's hard work, it itself is not an "offical" site and while extremely accurate in many ways, a few things have slipped through the cracks now and then. 

Egan Loo's Compendium is about as official as it can get. It has Big West and Studio Nue's sanction. Everything that is found in the Compendium are derived from official sources only.

EDIT IN: Oh yeah, it is also the only officially recognized depot of info for all things Macross by the creators themselves.

While I don't degrade the value of the Compendium, I can't consider it "official" until there is a Big West logo on it stating so. But I will consider it amazingly accurate above other sources.

A RAID array would be an easy way to help out with this - don't even have to back stuff up then, system redundency.

Well, it's been pretty much confirmed by now. Gunbuster is now out of print with Manga Entertainment and no new release is ever planned. This sucks for those of us who live here in the United States.
