Nevermind about PMC, i do not even understand how can a company make money(does money even exist in macross?) from whatever kind of economy that can possibly works inside that giga colony ship. From my viewpoint the only way a community can work in that confined space is suppose to be military life. No market, no money, no economy, no profit making. Everything is rationed. But hey it is anime, and all i care is the song and space opera.

Never heard of sv-52 before, then against vf-1, i wonder which one would win. Interesting. As it shown in the anime several times, but they always dumped them before every battle.

I am wondering perhaps SV-51 are not capable to operate in space due to the design maybe? And can it be fitted with reaction engine too? I notice SV-51 seems run out of fuel and ammo lot sooner than VF-0. CMIIW

I guess the year 2008 and 2040 is kind of eras with many innovations through sv-51/vf-0 and yf-21/19, and both was probably one of the rarest occasion where early development of new technologies were actually being deployed in real combat to soon, but works well.

Eventhough DYRL is the most memorable, my most favorite is probably macross zero, because how different it is compared to other macross series. Not the plot or character, but how do you say it, the atmosphere? more gloomy, and i like it, closer to real war situation i think. How they explain the protoculture in mystical way, and also the leap in term of animation by using full CG for the first time if i'm not mistaken. But still, macross is also about love song, so it's either DYRL, plus, or zero.
