  1. Well I guess everyone has a first report to the BlackList so here's mine. Transleader2010 from Ebay (Chile) - watch out for this guy. He bids on and wins a 1/100 VF-2SS. I send an invoice within minutes of the auction ending. I send another one four days later after no response. He sends me this;

"Mr to seller you to send the same Invoice insist that the shipment cost is very high, please to secure the real cost, are buying of Ebay by but of 6 years and to know the costs shipment the item has a slight weight the cost must be but low, I wait for the new Invoice, thanks."

Keep in mind he never asked for a shipping quote before winning. I send him a very polite explanation of USPS, it has a dimension over 30cm so it's a large package yadda yadda. I send him the exact measurements and weight of his package and recommend he try the USPS.com site to try and find a better deal. Just in case he is retarded I go to the site, fill out all the information, and copy the link to his specific package quote in the Email. I checked the link to make sure it worked.

Days go by - no reply. I open a case with Ebay to recover my fees.

A week goes by and my "second wave" of sales reaches an end. I was very busy and didn't notice until the last day that he's bidding on another model. I send him an inquiry and he replies with "I got sellers mixed up - sorry". Ok, stuff happens. He wins, I send an invoice, no reply. Three days go by and I notice that he's bidding on the same model that he previously refused to pay for (it was a couple days behind the others because of all the BS involved with getting my fees back). Ok, maybe he won't win. He wins. Ok, so now I gotta unpack the first model and combine it in a new box with the other one. I send him an Email saying "I'll have your invoice tonight". He acknowledges, I send the invoice (which, this if funny - comes to the exact same price as before), that was four days ago, this guy can suck penguin farts.

I love my international Macross peers but sometimes it really makes me wonder if it's worth it.

P.S. Anyone know if I can nail him with negative FB without getting retaliated against?

Sellers can no longer leave Negative feedback. Buyers can extort you (the e in eBay is for "extortion"). Buyers can leave YOU negative feedback. As a seller, eBay does not give a shyt about you.

Please note, eBay is now taking a % of your shipping money, on top of all the other money they and Pay Pal ( same company ) are taking from you. Also, if you use Pay Pal to print a shipping label, guess what? They are not taking a % of that too.

Kindly note to the buyer that the shipping was listed on the auction page PRIOR to his bidding. Also note your shipping includes a handling fee, as well as the NEW eBay fees. (Explain to him that eBay now takes $$ from you for shipping).

If he does NOT pay, go to the Resolution center. File a complaint against him for not paying. You can only do this after 8 days. 4 days after you open the case, if he has not paid, you can close the case.

Then you can relist the item without eBay charging you twice for listing.

  2. When I was talking about the seller's integrity, I was NOT talking about mine. Although, I am a good seller!

NOTE: I re-edited that post for clarity.

In my previous post (above EXO's), I had mentioned that what I assume (again, this is just an assumption) that the Robotech backstock was being sold by the owner of Toynami on eBay.

Again, rumor control, I am just assuming this. Could be a great coincidence. But RT.com never sold any, Toynami found a warehouse stash of Scotts, and now the Toynami owner is selling Scotts on eBay.

The owner of Toynami, the guy selling them NOW on eBay, is a great seller. That is who I was referring to.

I can see where you got confused, as I did not explain what I was talking about very clearly, and there are several conversations going on here at once!

    All this being said...

Now back off my shyt. I sure in the hell didn't do anything wrong. Except try to help some fans here get a toy. Which I sure in the HELL don't see anyone else trying to do.

Now, If that still offends anyone, then Fu<k you and the whore that gave birth to you.

  3. AmiAmi sold the Fire Valkyrie for 18,950 yen (MSRP of 22,000). It's a safe bet the VF-17 will sell as much.

Their YF-29 sold for 12,320 yen (MSRP 17,000 yen), after it sold out the price jumped up to 15,480 yen.

Their renewal VF-25F is selling for 10,150 yen (MSRP 14,000 yen). Will it go up after the restock? Most likely.

That's just how the industry works. And opposite of the price increases, when toys don't sell, they get marked down.

Such was the fate of most of the new Mospeada toys...they're all in the clearance bins. :o

I wish I knew the scale of this fighter. Is it going to be a larger fighter, like the SV-51, or smaller, like the VF-1? If it's smaller in size than the fire Valk, maybe it'll be a little less up front. My wallet is hoping this is the case anyhow!

  4. How is it that Harmony Gold can afford the Macross license all these years and have not done a thing with it?

I applied for work at HG many years ago. Back when I lived in LA.

They actually handle several different businesses. Anime is only one of them. They also do independent film distribution and real estate. And, Robotech isn't the only IP they own. So, even during a dryspell, which Robotech fans are now experiencing now... again  , HG has other sources of revenue coming in that keeps them afloat.

  5. Thanks for the heads up on the 1J.

I had to sacrifice another v2 1:60 to fix the shoulders on my 1J. I had the version with the fast packs. One of my first v2's I got...and man, my heart sank when I saw that crack.

But now that it's fixed, I love flying it around the house! Such a beautiful fighter. So iconic too. Probably the second most iconic VF-1 behind the Skull Leader 1S.

Anyhow, thinking about getting a second 1J for a GBP. Want to get the gray visor edition...but I'm terrified of having to sacrifice another valk!

  6. Ok...I am confused. In the above post ae_productions posted that he purchased a Scott MPC Cyclone for $300 for his birthday present. Yet on the link EXO posted it shows a seller on eBay "ae_productions" selling a Scott mpc cyclone for $610. In the below comment ae goes on to say how the seller is a GREAT seller and he is not attacking the seller...is the ae posting here and the ae on ebay two different people? They both have the same user names...maybe I am missing something.

If you start a rumor that Toynami may have some warehouse find of Scott Cyclones and that if there is such a thing the original items will all go lower in prices...closer to MSRP. Then you find one for near MSRP and then flip it...wow...just wow.

I can say I have definately bought items for the single purpose of reselling it but to start a rumor to get a better price and then flip it. Well that is just a whole new level.

I'm the one spreading rumors? What in the hell was your post about? Please take a second to research what you are going to say before you insult someone. Your little temper tantrum above is nothing but gossip mongering full of baseless accusations that could be easily rectified if you took a second to look at the facts for yourself. But you're too goddamned lazy.

SInce you're too lazy, here's what happened. Cause you know, I have to check in with you for all the details of my life.

I am not starting any rumors. For the LAST time. Please, take a few minutes and watch the YouTube videos of the Robotech convention panels this year. There you will see Tommy Yune TALKING about the MPC Scott Bernards. At one of the conventions, Tommy mentioned that they found a warehouse stock of MP Scott Bernard Cyclones. There was even a joke about it being a better investment than real estate. Tommy and Co. were thinking about selling them back on the Robotech.com store. It's on youtube. It's on RobotechX. Stop reading, and watch the videos, people.

NO, I did NOT flip a Scott Bernard. My eBay user name is the same as my user name here on Macross World. You can go look at all my feedback. Take another moment and check for yourself.

PRIOR to the Robotech.com announcement about the MPC Scott Bernards, yes, I had an MPC Scott. I did sell one. I don't know when, I think it was about 6 - 8 months ago. Maybe longer. Go look it up on my feedback since you have nothing better to do than to try to attack my integrity. I had to sell several of my toys, including my MPC Scott Bernard, when our family was hit with some unexpected medical bills. I started the auction for 69 cents (if memory serves), and yes, it ended up selling for 600. Why? Cause I have over 7,000 feedback, and I'm a kick @ss seller. Check my feedback. That's a REAL reputation.

No, I did NOT want to sell this figure. But I had to.

Flash forward MONTHS after I sold mine, and Robotech.com said they would be selling more for retail. I wanted to replace the one I had to sell. We were doing a little better, so I watched Robotech.com regularly to try and reacquire one.

People here expressed interest in obtaining one. So I informed them about the Robotech convention and what Tommy Yune said about the Scott Bernard warehouse find, since no one else here seemed to know about it.

Robotech.com, like many things, never came through on that promise.

Months after that, for my birthday, my wife helped me buy it back (not the same person who brought mine, but buy it back as in help me get the toy back that I was forced to sell months ago) from another seller here for 300. B)) I did not flip it. I still have it.

Keep in mind I was the one who informed everyone about Robtoech.com selling the MPC Scott for retail. I was trying to HELP others get this toy for retail. I have been emailing everyone who wanted one with updates on Robotech.com sales, taking time out of my day to help others get this damn toy. B)) What have you done to help others here? ;)

So, don't get your panties in a twist. Think before you insult someone. Try know what you're talking about before you try to attack their integrity.

Now back off my shyt. I sure in the hell didn't do anything wrong. Except try to help some fans here get a toy. Which I sure in the HELL don't see anyone else trying to do.

Now, If that still offends anyone, then Fu<k you and the whore that gave birth to you.

  7. Graham, I've been checking this forum, emailing you, pm'ing you and this was gone before it even started, for a full year I have been trying to get these stupid hinges, you kept us all in the dark until I had to arrive one day and you didn't even email me, thanks for nothing, you never even responded my pms, sorry but you get no thanks for me, I believe you could have organized this much better but oh well, I guess I was number 300 in a line of 30 hinges, so the only thing I have to thank you is for all the time lost, hopes broken and your stupid decisions at the last minute.

    thanks for the bitter memories.

    mission accomplished my ass.

Hey, now. Play nice. Relax. Take a deep breath. Take your medication.

I have 3 v2 1/60 Valks with broken hinges. I didn't get any hinges either. That's the way it goes. Sell your broken valks and pick up new ones from HLJ with the fixed arms. Problem fixed. B))

Do NOT blame or get angry with someone who is trying to help. He is NOT being paid by Yamato for this service. He was doing it to be nice.

Don't be a crybaby about it. So you missed out. I did too. And we're not the only ones.

Yes, you sent 1 million emails to Graham, but if your tone reflected your attitude even remotely in the post above, I wouldn't get back to you either. TALK to people. Be nice to them. Especially when they are trying to HELP you on their own accord. Being an angerball about it doesn't get you anywhere. ;)

As someone mentioned above, blame Yamato. Don't blame the man trying to fix THEIR issue. Sheesh.

  8. I don't hate Sky Captain, but I was pretty much underwhelmed by its presentation. It tried too hard to pay homage to the classic 1930s serials, but it just didn't work. For starters, they could've cast a better actor than Jude Law as Sky Captain. I just can't picture Jude Law being anyone other than that robot hooker in A.I.: Artificial Intelligence. Angelina Jolie always has been and always will be overrated on any role she lands. And bringing Sir Laurence Olivier back from the dead really didn't do much to enhance the viewing quality.

And the whole idea of doing the movie completely in a digital backlot was supposed to save money, not cost $70 million. For that kind of money, you expect the movie to not look like a PS2 video game, which it does. So much for the directorial career of Kerry Conran.

I wonder how bad Casshern (another early digital backlot movie) has aged since then...

I just saw Sky Captain and the Wold of Tomorrow.

I feel the same as you. The concept was a BLAST. Some of the ideas were great fun. It felt like a comic strip in some parts. But overall, meh. If they spent more time making that script work...better characters. More action. More of a plot...the elements where there on screen. But, :"without a script, a special effect is a boring thing." I don't want to say who said that, cause it seems ironic now. ;) But you get the drift.

  9. Okay, that one pic of this thats been floating around for years has been driving me nuts. Here's a better one of the full image, better scan. No one is allowed to use the other one now <img src="http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

    <img src="http://zormaster.com/art/artmiclegtread.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Damn I wish the Legioss / Beta Fighters were better designed to better represent this image. So damn iconic. And intimidating, if you're an inbit! Check out all those weapons! Bad @s$.

  10. I've been thinking of watching DS9 from the point where it gets good. It is somewhere between the end of the first season and the episode where the Klingons attacked the station. Can someone give me a good idea of what season/episode is a good one to start with? (Like TNG, the show does not get good till somewhere in the 3rd season I would guess)

I think the Klingons were Season 3? Or 4? Can't remember.

I watched this series from the beginning last year. (or the year before, I can't recall). Anyhow, do yourself a favor. Just watch it from the start. It's a lot of fun. And there are constant references to characters, plot elements and so on from previous episodes. If you just jump in, you'll miss out.

  11. The Wave soldier is just hideous! Considering that it doesn't have to transform, I think they dropped the ball massively. Heck, the 28 year-old Imai soldier looks better than that!

Compared to your work, yes, I do agree with you Cap.

However, I think as a mass produced model kit, it looks pretty cool. It's a different take on the Legioss. But it's really growing on me. Can't wait to get my hands on it. But again...why 1/72?

  12. Ma-Ma-Ma-MASK!

Man, I use to love that show. Saw it recently again, and, well, it wasn't like Macross. Macross I think I enjoy MORE as an adult than as a kid. I don't think I can bring myself as an adult to watch more than one or two episodes of MASK. That's the beauty of anime. It's aimed for more mature, older audiences. Whereas the MAJORITY (But NOT all) of US produced cartoons are the opposite, and lack that enduring appeal. (South Park, Simpsons and even the new Thundercats are exempt).

Now, with that said, that is why I feel Nolan's take on Batman is a blueprint that other movies should follow, especially in the comic book sense. It's aimed for more mature audiences. After I saw TDK, I could NOT bring myself to watch more than a few seconds of Schumachers or Burton's Batman movies without getting annoyed at all the...cheese. For lack of a better word. The writing that caters to the lowest common denominator. I will watch TDK ten years from now, and enjoy the hell out of myself.

  13. Frontier did have two little references to it, at least. One being Megaroad-01's course in the first episode, ending abruptly, the other being Bilrar's motivations for the entire operation...

Yes! That is one of the brilliant things about Frontier. It literally referenced pretty much the entire Macross universe prior to it. Wasn't it released on the 25th anniversary of Macross too? A nice THANK YOU to the fans.
