There is only 1 tread out now and thats from CMs. It doesn't look bad but is expensive and the locking mechanism is a hack at best to their Legioss fighter.

Multiple sets of 001 setup as a 1/48 hangar - found these super cheap with no accessories with another MW member.

Needs detailing but good for a basic framework. Get at least 4 sets to accomodate a 1/48 or 1/60 in battroid mode.

Correction. I just checked my Ghost combos because there were 2 blisters - ghost in blister sits on top of the VF-0.

There is a single layer of tape on the VF-0 itself, and on top where the ghost blister sits, a 2nd layer of tape runs down over the ghost blister and over the original VF-0 tape, so the 2 tapes are in a straight line. Again, onn all 4 sides. Single line or as close as possible to this.

The VF-0S and VF-0A with no ghosts only has a single layer of tape on all 4 sides.

yeah, i saw the ad... i meant that the VF-0s w/ ghost has the fixes, right? I just wanna make sure if the actual valk was not replaced with the defective one coz the box is not sealed...

Correct, VF-OS with Ghost has all the fixes. If you can inspect the box before buying, you can check if it is factory fresh. The VF-OS blister has a SINGLE layer of tape on it, on all 4 sides.

All Valkyries produced at and after the VF-OS 1.0 has this. If you have 2 - 3 layers of tape on the blister, then beware of possible rework by the factory or swappage.

All of my 4 VF-0S ghosts and 2 VF-0A with ghosts has a single layer of tape.

how can you tell if the actual VF-0s is the 2.0 w/ fixes just by looking at it? I'm planning to buy VF-0S w/ booster from a local retailer, but i don't know if they'll let me handle it and check if the feet lock in battroid... are there other signs? i'm paranoid that maybe the valk was switched with a ver1.0.

The VF-0S 2.0 has not been released yet! It will be this month in Asia so you can figure it out from the dealers who will >re-stock< it.

Most will not inform consumers if its version 2.0 to get rid of the old 1.0 stock.

Battroid mode looks skinnier than the old 1/60? Legs looks a bit skinnier compared to 1/48s or maybe its the angle of the shots.

Pilot sculpt - more detailed than the VF-0, YF-19 pieces of painted booger. Even Hasegawa's 1/72 has more defined details.

Fighter proportions still looks off to me - Too used to seeing the perfect Hasegawa and 1/48 mode here. Perhaps a 2nd longer nosecose for fighter mode

Super tight feel! Can't have any more of that VF-0 or YF-19 1.0 floppiness, especially if they scaled down a 1/48!

How about a RUB ON DECAL sheet instead of waterslides or stickers? It doesn't cost that much more and improves the dress up so much!

What size are these? ~ 1/100 or 1/72? Articulation looks pretty good!

The VF-0S standalone I heard is scheduled for release 2.0 but don't know the exact date yet. Same for the VF-0A standalone and VF-0A Shin Ghost Combo. I'm guessing after the 2nd issue of the YF-21 due to demand, and GNU figures.

Don't hold me to this as I'm still waitng to buy the VF-0A standalone and praying for the VF-0D

Buy the 0S combo as a safe bet, skip the rest or just by extra arms but you need to know the 1.0s don't have locking feet in battroid! You should check if you can order extra feets / thrusters.

I will check both of my Shin VF-0A combos this weekend and report back.

BTW: I currently like the VF-0s more than my 1/48 VF-1 collection! ... sad but the new sculpts just rocks hard.

These are way smaller. Should be about 1/3 height of a Revoltech.

So the Revoltech are ~ 1/72 scale? 200 / 3 = ~ 70!

Hmm... I might need to pickup the Revoltechs to match my models!

These 3 are hands down better than Yamato's weathered customs!

The TV Max with the preshading (or is it post) and SUBTLE, not overdone panelining is just awesome.

That Low Vis 2 custom really would sell more of the LV2 if it had matching fast packs and weathering!

More hires pictures without the fast packs and some gerwalk mode!

Hope Yamato still has the VF-X license and will produce it in 1/60!

I'm kinda hopin we'll get an accessory pack with foldildo, blue hunpods, Ghost X9, and maybe a VF-22S canopy and face (though really doubting that last part since a resculpt / variant is the more likely path).

Well, Yamato has the 1/200 gashapons which includes a lot of the VF-X variants so hopefully they will be smart and milk the molds with VF-22S variants! And I hope that translates to VF-19A Excalibur, Super Novas and etc..!

As most have said already, relatively easy to make custom if you have all the parts. Can be done with some painting and stickers or if you're a perfectionist, then swap parts between two Valkyries and just repaint only the arrow on the head.

I need to finish my second Max 1S and will some pictures later.

I got them from Yahoo Japan Auctions a while back, and it's pretty clear that they're a few copy generations old. But most aren't bad. And they only cover the first 2 or 3 episodes.

At the ebay prices, better to buy one from Kurt, Jung or other customizers instead for the level of quality with custom decals.

"Bargain" is a stretch. I felt like I'd been violated by an offensive lineman when I saw the bill for both of mine.

When comparing Takara's and HT's Deunan's then HT's is definately the bargain.

I did say the 1/6 scales are for the "ballers" out there but HT's is worth every pennie I paid for. The pair looks so much better than Medicom's Solid Snake which cost a lot more!

I wish HT had the Metal Gear license then we can see some kick AZZZZZ and proper 1/6 figures from that series.

Looking at the 1/20 figures - they appear to be listed on HLJ as trading kits, and "Snap-Kit" - I'm assuming that they're pre-painted, but also assuming the only way to get them is by buying a whole box set, yes?

The "model kits" are basically unassembled figures!

Fully prepainted? yes

"Snap in" limbs? yes

Fully posable? yes, as posable as or more than RAH:GI Joes

Sculpts? Pictures looks "really good" for 1/20 scale

I have the Aliens Snap figure set from HT. Sculpts look really good, a tad more realistic than the Joes. ~ RAH:Gi Joe size, pop in the arms at the shoulders, and legs at the "thighs", walla, instant painted action figure! I expect the same if not better quality.

You can buy these as a random trading figure in single small sealed box, or as a fully boxed set with a few duplicates but you're guranteed the landmate. I bet the landmate may be seperate pieces packed into each box as it is too easy to pull out the "landmate" box since it is so much bigger.

Best to buy the boxset to gurantee a landmate. You can customize or trade out the extras.

I might head over to the HT shop tomorrow and drop a deposit now...

A few weeks ago I dropped by 2 of HK TRU's and nada. No Joes. The few that I see are online at the typical scalped prices.

It sucks here for "American toys" even though its made in less than a 45 min ride from where I'm sitting.

And I am jealous of Agent GHQ for his phat haul of Cobra Vipers. But not so jealous that I would give up my MIB LV1s for any of it.

I think its time to do a surprise "factory inspection" on behalf of Hasbro for their RAH: GI Joe line.
