Bah, the Sazabi is a fatty. A 2.0 would be nice although I know it would be rediculously expensive considering the current 10 year old kit costs more than the Sinanju or a Hi-nu gundam.
Now an MG Nightengale would be interesting. but if You have to have one you could always try to track down the crazy expensive G-System resin kit
Rather than get the g-system one, check out his sweet custom one made by gundampro

isn't this thing technically a model?
Snap!, u may be right. I had no clue, but yeah the "Gunpla" part should probably give it away.
Sorry

Gunpla 30th Anniversary limited HY2M 1/12 Gundam RX-78-2. Pretty cool if u ask me, but it will probably cost a
few grand or so to import here to the U.S. Not on my wishlist, but letting you guys know.

Well, I am kind of testing the waters here, but when do you guys think the next PG will come out, and what do you think it will be?
Seeing as the 00 raiser was kind of a letdown, and it came out only a few months after the PG astray, I think the next PG
will come out fairly soon, hopefully in the next year or two. (seeing as bandai likes to milk major trends, I am predicting an MS from Unicorn is up next for the PG treatment)

You're asking the wrong guy. I am a firm believer in if you're going to build a model, you should do it yourself. Of course in the beginning your going to suck, we all do. However, you get better with time, and in a way you even appreciate your first attempts more as you can see how you've developed. I have an old F91 1/60 I painted into a Harrison custom that looks like dogsh*t. Then, I went back last year and did another one with a kit I got for cheap and compared the two, and the 2nd one came out much more how it looked in my mind. But I still love that first one nonetheless, paint runs and all.
Anyhow, without rambling, yes they do offer a build service, I couldn't tell you their pricing though. I don't know you're skill, however, if you REALLY have the G-sys bug, do what I did and start with a conversion kit, they're generally affordable and simple enough. I believe the MK.II conversion is fairly cheap, as is the Zeta head/gun kit and the Guncannon isn't bad. Or you can try something like the IWSP, so you can do it without risking damage to a PG kit. I don't know anything about they're MG conversion kits or smaller scale stuff though.
Yeah, i saw pics of the mk.II conversion kit, but i really couldn't make out any *apparent* differences from the regular pg to the conversion. Any idea?
(oh, and btw, i contacted them and got back a message saying that pricing for pre - built is about 3 - 6 times the amount of $ as the regular kit!!!!!!!)
-
Sure, as soon as I paint the armor pieces and get them to fit, of course, at the rate I'm going, that should be about 2015...
All I can say is G-sys stuff is a lot of work, but so far it seems worth it.
Doesn't G-System offer some sort of pre-built option that you can request? I don't know, but I wonder if the model painted by the masters themselves is worth the approximate $2500 pricetag.........
-
I have a few 1/60, Kampfer, NT-1, and some conversion kits, IWSP, Guncannon, and Wing Ka.
Guncannon conversion is nice, Wing Ka conversion has some issues though. The Kampfer isn't bad, I finished the frame entirely and it's on par with a PG frame. Like anything else, you get what you put into it. It should be noted I picked up most of these on ebay for cheaper than what they charge on their site. I really want the new GP-03 kit and new Zaku, but damn it's a lot. Though I do hear great things about them. It should be noted you won't even come close to building these as fast as a PG, I've been working on my Kampfer for months and finally JUST started looking like something.
Thanks for the info. Want to post some pics of that kamper? I am sure everyone would love to see it
-
Thanks a lot anime52k8. That helps out a ton. I might just have to go and pick this one up.
-
Well, I haven't seen it yet, but is there a lot of war machine? The main reason why i am gonna go see this is to go see war machine on the big screen!!
-
Tuesday I believe, when the PSN updates move to Tuesdays.
Thanks, but iirc, psn updates only on thursdays?
-
That ghost set-up must have cost a TON...........did u buy 3 of the web-shop exclusive missile packs for the vf-25?
(oh, and i love the pics btw)
-
Anybody getting this guy? Passed on the Nu in the last minute due to budged but the Sazabi looks really massive.
I really wish bandai would just make the whole figure rather than make a bust of it..........oh one can only wish
-
We can still hope for a VietCong Zombies level though...
^ I support this!

You got any experience in Resin kits? G-Systems is pretty much an all Resin construction. They do have upgrade kits for older MG's. Before Bandai came out with the Nu-Hi kit last year G-Systems I think already had one out and all you needed was Nu Gundam's exo frame to build it.
But it's a pain in the ass, you gotta sand, prep, paint and I think glue in some cases. I'll never mess with something like that, too expensive and easy for me to F up on.
Thanks for the info, but i knew they were resin kits. I was just wonderin how well the inner frames that come with many of their new kits hold up.

Has anyone bought the metal composite unicorn gundam? Is it really worth the hefty price tag, or is it just another master grade unicorn?
-
Does anyone have any experience with g - system gundam kits? (especially the ones with inner frames?)
How well are the kits in terms of detail and durability? Do the frames pose well, or is it another one of those resin kits that will have to be glued in a fixed pose?
Thanks

Looks pretty cool..............and it is a (FINALLY!!) deviation from the famed world war 2 and modern warfare timeline. (modern warfare was getting annoying anyway)
Also like the fact that it might be covering one of the least covered wars in video games - Vietnam.
-
Does anyone know when the stimulus package maps for modern warfare 2 will come out on ps3?
-
Looks like yamato is going to put up a sample (hopefully) of their new zoids line at the Shizuoka Hobby Show 2010!
Anyone know the exact date? Hopefully, we get to see all the macross we've come to love re-created in the zoids line.
-
Ok thanks, and on that point, is there any real difference between strike and astray perfect grades?
-
So,
I am deciding between PG strike and PG 00 raiser........
Any opinions on which one is better? I am look for playability and gimmicks primarily, as well as detail.
I am going to paint it, so what do you guys think?
I know people don't like the clutch system in the 00 raiser, but is it really that bad? I mean the pictures and videos show that it is really solid
and holds up fine? I don't know......

So, I like the look of the Monster, and I don't own a yamato one, so I plan on buying one.
Do you guys think I should wait for the bandai one, or jump on a yamato for about $100 on ebay?
Can someone kind of sum up the issues with the yamato?
Thanks - Archer

The normal version of the VB-6 (the less expensive one) is just the regular release with no special "prizes" or extras. It essentially is just the VB-6 and some stickers. The special edition (the more expensive one) is a limited edition release that comes with some decals already applied to the VB-6 (sheryl on the nose to be exact) as well as a base that can be used to depict the Vb-6 firing on the top of a space cruiser (i believe this will be a part of the upcoming movie?). Finally the special version will also come with some kind of handbook thing as well (don't really know the details of this handbook).
I hope that helps.
