... why Barbie pink?  Meltrandi gear is typically either kind of lavender, blue, or red.

    Or Chloe's gold custom...

Raramia Rerenia and Nene Rora's Queadluun-Rheas were medium-grey with light-grey accents, while Klan's was blood red with 'Barbie pink' accents.

In SDFM, the standard [only?] battle-suit/ground-forces schemes we see the Meltrandi rocking are Green/Grey Queadluun-Rau... I'd like to see that carried over onto Regults and  Marauders Glaugs

I am so glad that video did not have a comical DRAMATIC MUSICAL SCORRRRRREEEEE to go along with it.

Where as I'm a little disappointed in that! lol

nothing like a comically dramatic score for a refueling drone.

I wonder how much fuel that thing can actually deliver to other birds... looks like it's about the physical volume of an entire Superbug, which is significant.

And finally, people spend so much time trying to make model gun barrels look so realistic. Since these are machined in steel, I thought, "Why not blue them like a real gun barrel?" So here's a test on a reject part. It doesn't get any more realistic than the "real thing." So the barrels will be blued and I won't have to worry about paint peeling off them. Bluing is about the same cost as getting the paint for them. Thanks for checking in! - MT

How well does the bluing hold up on unhardened steel? or did you go the extra-extra mile and harden them?

Those wrists don't look right at all.  Are the forearms upside down somehow?

no, but the shape seems all kinds of not right to me...

This might be a long shot, but does anyone have any spare Hasegawa VF-1A heads for fighter mode I can buy?

Back in the day, I bought more VF-1S Strike fighters, so I ended up ransacking the few 1A kits I had to complete Skull Squadron.  I think I need three.

I even had to go through my Bandai 1/72 kits and stole a 1A head from another kit.

If not, no worries, I can always just buy a few more 1A fighters.

I'll check my stash, I should have a few spare VF-1A heads in 1/72. you don't care about which kit they're from [ie: what colour plastic they're in]?

how do you attach it onto the wing?

the hardpoints are visually identical [or very near].

so you just mount it to the hardpoint like a Yamato or HMR: gently push-on to the hardpoint and twist for alignment... unless I'm doing it wrong.

That's all well and good for when you're fighting in gravity, but the gunpod is entirely level without the arm packs mounted.

It does make sense being articulated for aiming though, absolutely, and aiming upward does bring the target into your field of view better.  It just doesn't look right.

Ah, looks vs the laws of physics, the eternal struggle of all action on film.

Heh.. you know, as irritating as the tilted gunpods might be.. it actually makes sense for them to be lifted when on the gear.  I mean, they're mounted to robot arms to begin with.  No reason they can't just flex to make sure the pod doesn't drag. :p

The gun on the F-14 tomcat is mounted angled up several degrees. It's VERY beneficial in a dogfight, and lets you get a lot of range out of the canon on a strafing run.

The mounting point for the gunpod being slightly flexible makes a lot of sense, and is backed up in the DYRL opening dogfight, when Hikaru scores an off-bore gun kill on a battlepod.

Is HLJ able to ship when things are available? Is it only Expensive UPS/DHL or Ferry options? Just a little gunshy with Japan thanks to N-Y.
