  1. Relax. Everybody's got their reasons. Some are tight on cash and a spending more on version 2's or macross F toys. Others don't like broken toys no matter how beautiful or customized they may be. One thing is for sure... Everyone has their price. Lower the cost of your toy enough and it will sell. If that doesn't work, you can always put it on ebay and put a reserve price that fits your comfort level.

    GBP Collection Complete

    Woodland: VF-1A CF

    Regular: VF-1J

    Urban Camo: VF-1S

Felt like i had to mix it up a bit :)

That urban camo GBP is such an awesome repaint. If they had something like that for the 1/60's I'd be all over it like white on bread.

Also, are those chain bases painted like that or did you do it?

  3. I've got one and the white parts are painted. The goto is so so. I can see the likeness sort off but there's only so much you can do with a figure that small. I'm glad I got it though. It really goes well with the Yamato pat labors. I'll post alink if I find one.

  4. Wahaha! Ohta's psycho face looks hilarious! Kinda makes me wish I scored a Unit 2 when they were on sale at HLJ.

C'mon Yamato. Make a 1/24 Griffon Flight Version already!

  5. I've always had a soft spot for the VF-2ss after seeing the kit for the first time in a Hong Kong shop back when I was an impressionable youth and just getting into anime. I suppose nostalgia plays a large part since Mac II was one of the first animes I saw. I dig the giant cannon for sure. Battroid is definitely the strongest mode with a lot of clean lines. I say bring it on Yamato!

  6. I'd like to vouch for eyesonme78 for a smooth transaction. Received the VF-1A Kakizaki bundle safe and sound. It was probably the BEST packaging job I have ever received from someone other than a webshop. The item came in MINT condition. Very pleased.

  7. it makes money... and as long as Stan the Man stays with us for cameo's, please more. Battletech as something other than video games remains a pipe dream for me (ive already consider Macross anything, impossible as long as Harmony Gold exists)

Not a very imagivative line of titles though... pretty sure it'll change during production... but why a money sink in November? and only 15-16 months away? im sure it'll be pushed to 2014 Spring...

Battletech? Everyone knows robotjox was the most awesome live action real robot movie ever made. No one needs another (sarcasm warning)

Anyway, I for one actually enjoyed Thor. Though I didn't really know much about the character before the movie, it succeeded as a fun popcorn flick and I wouldn't mind another. Ant man on the other hand....

  8. I dig the costume. I hear what other people are saying.. how they want a dark and suspenseful Kamen rider a la Kamen Rider Black. I just can't see current Kamen riders heading in that direction anymore. It seems the target audience they are trying to reach is much broader. As such, they are making costumes more colorful and using more comedy. I sort of lost interest after Den O. Faiz was pretty good but man that was a while a go and yes, the ending sucked. kabuto was decent but the last few episodes also felt rushed. I haven't seen Kuuga or Agito. Are they worth it?

  9. Aquarion was Kawamori's work wasn't it? That's probably why

I'm also quickly becoming a fan of the battroid mode. Aside from the old VF-1 battroid, this is fast becoming my other favorite battroid mode. It looks menacing.

  10. Vf-171 looks great. I just got mine yesterday. There was a factory flaw though that was probably just sloppiness on the part of some chinese sweat shop laborer. One of my dark triangles under the armpit (owners know what I'm talking about) refused to budge. I took the area apart with a screwdriver and discovered that the black plastic had a sprue nub that hadn't been completely cut off yet. I just used my trusty tamiya sprue cutter to cut it off and put everything back together. Now everything works fine, good as new. Anyways, I probably would have broken something if I forced it and didn't investigate further. The moral is NEVER force anything. Just take it apart if a piece doesn't seem to be working well.

Anyway, transformation was tough. Just as others have said it was surprisingly intricate compared to the other renewal valks. Chest area was especially though. A lot of joints and hinges are just tight. hips were tight. The backpack hinge was tight. I really had to go slow to prevent breakage.

here's a quick shot with buddy Dancouga

  11. Yes! I found that sweet spot so it's not nice and secure in attack mode. The 01 and 02 ARMD numbers fit perfectly, I think I need to take the left leg apart a bit so I can get the city background on there. I mean wow I'm SUPER tempted to paint the city, I really am. But the paint will be so expensive to do right now.

I am glad though I didn't buy the assembled kit....I'd of been so upset at all the screws I gotta deal with.

Show some pics Hikuro! And congrats on the macross. Still the centerpiece of my collection
