Seems like you had lots of fun posing it. More so than the Altron, anyway.

Somewhat, until I realized I was twisting the wrist post and almost broke it. The ball joint for the wrist is stuck in place even though I masked it :( There were a couple of other poses that I had to give up on because of that.

  2. MG Wing Zero Ver Ka. Removing the seam on the back wing was the hardest part of this build. Aside from that it was pretty straight forward. Closing this chapter of the MG EW kits and I am finally caught up with all the photoshoots. Might build TG3 next year to have a truly complete set.

  3. The Altron who stole Christmas. I love how the EW Altron looks and this MG kit is pretty good. One of my issues is the 20+ seam lines that I had to remove on the red dragon fang body sections, that was a chore to fix. My other complaint is the fact that I only got two poses out of this kit because manipulating the arms with the dragon fangs is infuriating.

Hey GunPla Masters. I know it's a long shot. But did anyone encounter a third party Metal Frame set for MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.3?

    Thanks in advance. :hi:

Havent seen one yet. I only know of the ones for the MG SEED 2.0 kits, the MG Gat-X kits, Barbatos, Nu, Hi-Nu, and Sazabi.

Speaking of shading, @anubis20. Is it ok to ask if you do it before the color (like Watanabe's) or after the layer of color? If it's after, do you darken the mixture of the color you used or use a different color tint and darken it?

    Thank you sir! :hi:

In my case I usually start with the base color and then I will spray a lighter mix of the base coat on the center of each part. For the most part I usually add white to the mix but colors like red and green will get yellow instead to lighten the highlight color.

I know I've shared this before, but if the forearm design bothers you, there's a conversion kit that returns it to a more anime accurate look: https://www.shop2000.com.tw/GK-M/product/p37717039

Otherwise, great job as always, on the photoshoot as well as the modeling itself.

I hated them in the beginning but they have grown on me tbh. Its just that the turning gimmick really doesn't work when painted.
