  1. Skip the first and go straight to the second. It does everything better and its just a better game.

Just some advice. If you really want to get the most out of the game convince a friend to buy it as well and play through the story mode in online co-op. That is where the real fun is. Playing single player doesn't do the game any justice.

Sure thing. I'll go straight into the second game, plus i have a few friends who have the game, so i'll do just that.

    Thanks a lot.

  2. You forgot Macross II, distributed on VHS by Kiseki and split into two episodes per tape (3 volumes), dubbed. Also there was the Macross II graphic novel by Viz, but I'm not sure if that was just an imported edition from the US. I don't think so.

Yeah i totally forgot about the VHS, my bad. How i could even forget watching it at a friends all those years ago is beyond me.

I never did spot the Graphic Novel though. Maybe it was just a US import.

  3. Crazy infected GW Patriot Campbel is truly the most funny & disturbing thing in video game history.

So true. Here's another one of my favorite ones.

"Actually, I am in really bad shape financially. I pay money to my ex-wife as part of our divorce settlement, among other bills... I just had no choice but to make you pay for lunch the other day. I'm really sorry."

    :p

  4. It's well worth it. Especially if you have a 3000 model, the Valkyrie models are about as pretty as the PSP can muster. I say that because the PS3 has shown us how truly beautiful this game can be :)

Yeah i have a 3000 model. Game arrived this morning, and i've been glued to the screen since then. Mostly been playing freemode so i can just get used to the gameplay. Started a few of the training missions on the Macross Frontier mode, and will go from there. I just know i'm in for so much fun with this game.

Been using this guide, which is quite helpful.

  5. However, as far as character animation goes, I am a little disappointed. Maybe it was to ensure consistency with the TV serie's character animation quality since the quite abit of stock footage was used from there as well. Of course, that means that the character models maintained the series' quality, which while pretty ok for a TV series, makes this movie look as if it is released direct-to-DVD type of movie. Of course, the good news is that it maintains its consistency mainly throughout the movie, unlike the series, especially episode 8, where the animation quality takes a serious nosedive.

There were a few scenes in the film where the character designs actually made me wow. Those would be Sheryl's scene at the window, and the conversation between Alto and Ozma in his car about the chance that Sheryl could be a spy. The rest i'd totally agree with you.

  6. The one that always comes to mind shall be the epic:

"I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm, in flap-jaw space, with the tuning fork, does a raw blink on Hiri-Kiri rock! I need scissors! 61!"

From Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.
