I was going through one of my old hobby mag'z,ta my surpize I found this artile about the 1/48's. (that it was april 2002 hobby mag )and found this . The pre-production thought process ta the yammie's 1/48. A toy which I enjoy transforming till the point of breaking them down. whoo whoo it no wonder that the 1/48 came out kick ass. the concept came out in 3d first.

the black heat shield still looks better on fokker's vf-1, but this was quickly put together.

I also have the same problem but when in Gerwalk the gap does not appear I'm sure this can be fixed by just transforming it carefully There aren't any gaps in this photo: that was just the prototype to make it look good

I had the same problem with the heat shield. but I used a small doulbe sided stick tape to secure it.
