  1. Just imported the Macross Zero soundtrack to MUF...

    It's beyond epic listening to Horobi no Uta while in the second half of the fight against the Bird Human, or Gan Bora playing while fighting off Ivanov. Now I'm in the process of putting "A Hush Like 200 Million Years" on an 8-minute loop and putting full versions of various other songs on (along with "Macross", which was for some reason excluded from the game this time around)

    And to answer your question Mike, I got it off a seller from eBay,"shek730", who MUST own a store for clearly having multiple copies of the game and selling various video games.

  2. Crap, just started with those links for VFX-2 you sent me, and since my internet sucks, not sure I'm gonna be able to finish in time to download the 12 parts of SDFM PS2 on the Macross Share site...

    Speaking of which, you said VFX-2 was in four parts...so, where's the fourth part?

  3. Blocking AFOS' special really helps, too. It seems to cut the damage to a bit less than a tenth of what you would normally receive(this also works if you're in Storm Attacker mode using any of the SDFs and you are being attacking by another large enemy).

    And Spacy, that's strange, given that you seemed to have gotten the game from the same seller as me, and I got mine in less than a week, despite living on the east coast of the US.

  4. Wow, Battle Galaxy kicks ass. Since the multi-lasers seem to have a slight aiming ability now, and Galaxy has more turrets than the other Macross-class vessels, using the laser rapes. Although, since the main gun is mounted on the arm in Storm Attacker now, it kinda makes it hard to aim it for the regular attack and SP attack.

    Speaking of Macross-class vessels, how do I unlock the TV and ARMD versions of the SDF-1, and Battle 7? I find it strange that I managed to get the Quarter, Frontier, and Galaxy before the Macross.

    Also, how do I get the VF-2SS's Super Pack? I was under the assumption that it was obtained by A-ranking "Ishtar", which I still cannot get higher than a B-rank in due to the time limit. Even Ivanov's SV-51 with its super overpowered Booster pack with uber-missilespam can't do it in less than 7 minutes.

  5. Haha, some nice little details I noticed...

    When you get 5 hearts towards Minmei, she sings "My Boyfriend is a Pilot" when the mission ends sometimes.

    The voice "weapon" on the VT-1 is awesome, too.

    Still though, the game had me hooked when I realized that yes, I beat Bodolzaa, but it sent me to the Aftermath missions.

    Took me almost the full time to beat Milia in Pineapple Salad.

    Also,

    why is Hikaru the one taking Minmei out on a date, when I was the one that saved her?

  6. Ohoho! Man, one of those missions has the "My Boyfriend is a Pilot" straight from the Superfamicom Macross game that consisted only of a space mission and another inside a Zentradi ship. Hoho, I played that way back when I was a kid. Now I feel old. =P

    Er, you're thinking of the never-ending 8-bit version of Shao Pai Lon. Too bad they didn't include a never ending stage of that game, just like how the game never ended. Ever.

  7. It works on Vista, but I've had severe problems with graphical slowdown whenever text appears on the screen. I checked, and it's not my comp either, as the CPU isn't exerting that much space for the program. I don't know if it's just the one I downloaded or what.

  9. Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. Let me explain.

    This is what was promised by Pandemic, before EA took over them. We got constant updates, and were told how awesome it was gonna be:

    - Cooperative Multiplayer! Play the main Mercenaries 2 campaign with the help of your friends.

    Instead, we got buggy multiplayer where people are constantly dropped. Also, unlike what was said by the devs on the forums, the second player can barely get out of sight of the host.

    - Play with fire! Ground breaking, general purpose fire technology lets you set fire to buildings, vehicles and people. - Shoot holes in the sides of fuel trucks, watch the oil spill under the feet of unsuspecting enemies and light it on fire with a match!

    Okay, this isn't even IN the game. Anti-tank missiles cause a pre-scripted fire on trees only. Shooting fuel tanks just causes them to explode after 6 seconds.

    - Travel over/under water! Don't worry about drowning ever again: use watercraft or swim to traverse the oceans, rivers and lakes of Mercenaries 2.

    Until the superfast enemies find you in the water and never give up chasing you.

    - Build your own Private Military Company! Increase and customize your support options by recruiting other mercenaries you meet in the game!

    lolwut? There's three people that you can hire, and they simply allow you to do things from THE FIRST GAME.

    - A massive, reactive, and completely unscripted game world! The world of Mercenaries 2 is larger than all of the maps of the first game combined and is jam-packed full of colorful characters and environments. And this time, every action you make has ramifications throughout the entire country.

    Every NPC battle is scripted, enemies always appear in the same spots, the map only take forever to get across because helicopters are slow, and the "ramifications" are all simply plot related.

    - Cool new toys! Dozens of weapons, vehicles and support options are available for to use to blow the crap out of everything! Use the new grappling hook to latch on to flying vehicles and commandeer them in the sky!

    Most of the vehicles are in the first game, and helicopters are really only good for getting shot down by SAMs until you unlock the heavy ones later in the game.

    - Work for the highest bidder! Clients will offer you money, information and other resources in exchange for your services ā€“ provided you haven't done anything to piss them off!

    In which case it takes about 5 seconds to appease them with cash.

    The game looked to be awesome until EA bought Pandemic. Then, all updates stopped and the game was rushed onto shelves.

    Anyone saying anything negative about the game is banned by the forum moderators that EA put in. Scott and the other devs seem to have disappeared.

  10. To save me having to dig through the MAF threads, can somebody please remind me what is the criteria for the following: -

    1) Unlocking the stat limiters? Is it completing all missions, or completing all missions with ā€˜Sā€™ grade?

    2)Unlocking the VF-0S and SV-51, Nora, Ivanov and Cannon Fodder.

    After going through all regular campaigns, EXTRA missions should be unlocked. Getting high ranks on ZERO I and II will unlock all Macross Zero craft.
