  1. I don't know if the producers are trying to distract the fan base from all of the season's flaws with that ultimate bit of Star Trek nostalgia, but if that's their intention with last night's episode it definitely worked on me.  I don't think I've ever cheered or teared up like I did with the last episode in those last few minutes.  I LOVE that freaking ship!

Between Top Gun Maverick last year and the big D this year, for once I'm glad to be an 80's kid...

  2. So I told fedex I wouldn't be home today but they delivered the package anyway.  They required a signature for delivery and according to FedEx SOMEONE SIGNED FOR IT which is impossible because I live alone.   The package isn't there and I already contacted fedex and they don't know whats going on because they have to call dispatch, who will call the driver, who will call this person and blah blah blah.  Looks like I dont get my Roy after all.  Someone stole my Roy!  FML...

Ordered from Nin Nin as well, and Fed Ex isn't messing around I wasn't expecting it till tomorrow but it's now due to arrive today with a snowstorm in full swing.

Also, what was the release on the super parts set tv version? People are saying theirs are on the way. I ordered from Anime Export and it's still listed as releasing December.

No kidding.  I was supposed to get mine on Thursday but now FedEx is saying TODAY, but I won't be home!  AAARRGH!

Is there an end to this?  I just dropped $314 for Roy.  Max cost me $250.  Kaki and Hikaru was $280 each.  Now $314 for Roy?  I honestly don’t know how to feel about this.

Try getting into cars and go-fast parts; macross money won't seem so painful...

Still improbable for me. Wouldn't have minded an "LSA 15 in one" knockoff they had for 10 bucks at K-Mart back in 2008, but that ship sailed, wrecked and sank to the bottom of the collectible ocean...

I've still got mine, and it's good enough for me lol.  When I saw them in TRU BITD it was a must-buy...

Though I think the episode is awesome I'm also a TERMINATOR and ALIENS fan and was kidna disappointed with Michael Biehn's role in the series. He did well but wished there was more, especially since he was Johnny Ringo in Tombstone.

Yeah I was hoping he'd be a recurring character.   Maybe someone will share their force energy with him and resurrect him?  Lol...

Finally got my shipping notice from Nin Nin.  Free upgrade to Fedex.  Pretty fast response when I asked for an update a week ago too so they're my replacement N-Y now.

Just got my shipping notice from Nin Nin as well.  Guess they came through after all...

just to remind everyone that this thread is dedicated to DX VF-1 releases, so it is most appreciated if we can keep on topic. :)

Nah, I think we'll talk about whatever we want to, thanks...:)

Hello I am a new member and this is my very first post:)

I have a question regarding copyright sticker on the right upper corner of the DX box. I have just purchased a DX VF-1S Hikaru off Mandarake and this particular box seems to be missing the copyright sticker. Has anyone on the board experienced something similar, what is the meaning of this if anything, thank you.

Sorry to say this, but it's probably a Filipino knock off version; looks like you've been had.  If you want, I'll help you recuperate your costs by taking it off of your hands for....$90?  It's better than nothing right? Welcome to the boards!

without fast pack - Roy Focker SPECIAL

with fast pack - Roy Focker CUSTOM

how many unique titles does Roy need:lol::lol:

Did those names apply to the chunky monkeys also?   The first valkyrie toy I ever got was a takatoku VF-1S with no paks, and the comic store owner called it a Focker Special.

    Kids these days lol...

  11. Yeah everything was right about that movie.  Not much of a Sharon Stone fan but she played the role of the murdering seductress well without going overboard with it; I can only imagine the cringe worthy performances other women may have done.  One would almost think she's somewhat like that character in real life since she played it so naturally, lol. Also, scenes like when Michael Douglas shoves Jeanne Tripplehorn against a wall and rips her clothes off was done well, without being overly passionate or violent and elicited the right amount of excitement from the audience.  Again a well done movie.  Shame about trashing the Mustang and the Lotus; I loved those cars then, and now...

  12. I was just going to post or message you about your DX.  Looks like you have the same concerns as I do about the design.  The cons you mentioned actually bother me-the Yamato '48 was a brick solid fighter and that's why I loved it so much.

Another thing you mentioned is having to coat parts with whatever; it's annoying to me that a piece costing me this much requires any sort of modification at all.  I got into RC cars, drones and whatnot after I got frustrated with self destructing yamato variable fighters, and you can spend hundreds, thousands of dollars like you will on these valkyries, but the difference is those RC vehicles are 100% good to go out of the box and will take a beating on top of it.  And they can actually fly and move around and stuff!

  13. Dont have one, looks like I wont be getting one now.  I have some Hasegawa fighter mode models of the SV-51 I might as well just build up because it seems this particular variable fighter is questionable as a toy.  Oh well...

Valkrie Exhange is a user here, (i don't know if he currently posts or active recently) he was selling a bunch of stuff in the sales section a few years ago after closing down his site. I think his sales thread may be still in the sales section.

Kevin Lam is his name.  I remember when he started to step away from his internet business when his daughter was born.  Hell I bet she's in college now lol.

Great guy by the way; I remember when my Yamato '21 FP didnt come with instructions or a decal sheet and he sacrificed ones out of his own collection for me and sent them out the next day.  Now that was service...
