    Fade Rathnik: Thanks Fade i actually didn't even notice that. SchizophrenicMC: hahah thanks for trying to save me, but i just plan screwed up. I played a round with some more lighting. Almost done texturing the Prometheus. I also had to remodel the front landing gear too since it wasn't detailed enough the first time. Well i'm still working on it I was wondering how it would look if i actually tried this. Well this is why i can't make it transform, you can see bits missing. I had to position the camera somewhere it can't see them but, since it wasn't modeled to transform you can still see missing bits but i still like it ^-^

    Just a few updates since last time i posted I've unwrapped all of My pilot, My one flight crew person, Prometheus I've made the blast panels for the Prometheus Did a quick draft Texture for my Pilot just wondering is Kakizaki 012? because i accidentally made him 014. just playing around again. one VF-1A doing pre-flight checks and the other ready to take off Draft Texture Just a flight deck crew member hopefully have the Prometheus textured by this week and maybe my pilot and flight crew chillyche: haha yeah i thought it would suit it SchizophrenicMC: Thanks still working on it

    Were you by any chance on CGTalk? cause i think i remember seeing your older work there. Great to see you kept on working on them, and it's really showing how much time you put into them. Thanks by the way you helped me want to do my valkyrie more when i was starting it out. Do you by any chance have some animation for it now?

    Update: Made a a little more detailed Frigate Added more detail to Prometheus Valkyries now have movable flaps etc. Kakizaki's VF-1A This was me just trying to find out what sizes work together still not too sure I just thought it would be fun to see how it would look like. Very simple and stupid looking render hopefully the end render will look much much better than this. Prometheus I'll still need to add some detail plus textures

    update Pilot = 50% done need to texture and maybe do some dynamic cloths Prometheus = 35% done did some basic shaping still need texture VF-1A = 90% just need to make some SDK's frigate = 60% doesn't need textures since it'll be really far away Launch crew = 0% haven't started I did this for fun as well Max's VF-1A SchizophrenicMC: ok thanks is this better?     Well I have a small update on my Hikaru he's still pretty damn fugly. Luckily i quickly made a helmet to cover up like 80% of his face. Started him yesterday and still have a long way to go

    hmmm how do i start this SeminNV: Well you are right that it is a meduim Poly i only have about 92,000 polys when smoothed and 28,000 polys not smoothed. I would have liked to make a high poly one but i wanted to try and make this fast because i want to make this as a demo reel and find a job with it. I'm not very experienced at 3D but i modeled it to how detailed i thought it would need to be according to my reference video. Also SchizophrenicMC was right about having too high a poly model, i'm not sure how much my laptop can handle and i don't want to push it too far. But i do take your advise into consideration though. Maybe sometime in the future i can revisit this Dermeister: I know what you mean, I have seen a lot of skull squadron's VFs on here too. I think what you are suggesting is a good idea but, i'm just currently trying to mimic the Intro for the Macross game but like i said maybe sometime in the future i can revisit this and make my own squad. SchizophrenicMC: Thanks, i still have a ways to go. I've finish the main shape of Hikaru's Head but right now i think it looks really really really really fugly so i won't be showing it ^-^' (sorry). I'm going to try and model his suit and the Prometheus at the same time so best of luck to me. oh nice model what engine is it in?

    Mr March: Thanks took me a while to get here and quite a lot of trail and error SchizophrenicMC: haha thanks well i hope i don't get sued, i won't be making money of this anyway Dante74: thanks yeah i saw that thread a while ago. I probably won't be going nearly as detailed as that since i don't think there is really a shot of the inside anyway Update: all there is left to do is some small tweaks in textures still need to animate and make everything else the cockpit is actually really low res since won't be going close to it. Forgot to make the mirrors reflective I did a really quick job on the missiles and the gears since i was so close to finishing i kind of cut some corners, well same with the cockpit actually Back view

    Horatio Positronic: Yeah i think i'll go with the white. I decided to buff up my missiles a little. Philly: Thanks, if you need any tips or help with texture you can ask anytime. Mr March: thanks a lot i've already been using a lot from your website. Great site by the way. Small update: Buffed up the missles Done some templates for the cockpit(can't see in images) Done the draft drawings of wings and tail wings (dorsal?) Done the exhaust nozzles Still need to drag the skull and bones and add dirt and scratches After will do the landing gears then i'm all done.........well i still have to model the Prometheus and Hikaru...........damn Thanks for everyone's comments
  11. Great start you have there. Keep it up! It is pretty hard since there isn't any good reference pictures around yet. but, you're doing fine already so just keep going
  12. Hey Horatio Positronic, your VF-1S is coming a long really good. I like what i see so far as for reference pictures i used most of mine from Macross Mecha Manual also i found these useful as well a 1/60 scale i think Thanks boinger It's of a VF-1S super strike valkyrie, you can see a lot of the detail on it. But, some you can't as well because of the extra parts I have this file in a 3MB format 3766 x 3232 resolution. i'll gladly send this to you, but i don't know how to send a 3MB file on this Found this on cgtalk hope those help
  13. ahh yeah i wish i modeled them in. now if you look at my VF-1A from certain views it looks really flat. Oh cool another Maya user if you need any help or anything at all you can ask, well i don't know too much but i manage. What animation do you have planned? I could give you some reference pictures that i used if it will help

    SchizophrenicMC: yeah i know, but i was always thinking hmmm more white or not more white or not.........so i was kind of on the fence. i got a small update I made it more white again I've done some colouring on the Gunpod, still need to add a specular map on to it though I've done the ends of the exhaust thingy?(feet?) but still need to add specular to it. I might redo this part again though i don't really like how it looks. I also decided to do the insides of the legs of the jet. I also recommend going to see Horatio Positronics VF-1S he's got a good start there.
  15. wow sweet! damn i'm jealous you already have a pilot. I most be working really slow. what program did you use to make it? Also just wondering is the circle valve thing modeled in? or is it textured? love the missiles as well i think i will re-enlarge mine now they seem too small Love to see more of it. keep it up!
