  1. I don't know

but there seems to be a trend where ppl stops caring about those limited and exclusive items anymore. Yamato's producing so many weathering exclusives that we barely pay any attention to them anymore.

I've always wanted 1/60 v2 weathering but seeing that they are overpriced, I would not get one.

  2. Pretty sure that the 300 limited crap is all BS.

I think they will not release Max again, (due to having stated "limited~"). However, they sure will release weathering variation for every single one of the valks that there's no point of "exclusive" anymore..

  3. How do i get an S on Sad Sniper, or most of the Macross Frontier missions for that matter?

To get S (or SS) in Sad sniper,

    1) destroy VF-27

    2) don't let Alto die

    3) maintain 2/3 of hit point to get SS.

For other Macross F missions, never use missiles and grapple all of the enemy mecha. It will get you SS for most of them.

    POM

POM is usually a bright white plastic, it can be other colors, but when compared to other white plastic pieces, POM will be brighter white. It has a different feel than ABS. It will never be painted. It feels sort of "slippery", and it is extremely strong and scratch resistant (yet it doesn't bend or crack the same as ABS). On Yamato products it'll usually be found on hinges or other potentially load bearing pieces. Most notable was the POM that was on the leg joints of the original 1/60s that plugged into the nose, I think the 1/48 also had leg joints made from POM.

    Vostok 7

Vostok, is Yamato Macross made mostly by ABS? Like the wings and the body?

Scroll down a bit to Sprue and Wire Cutters. I found both at my local Walmart. The Fiskars (orange handle) cut flush on one side and are ideal (IMO) for cutting parts from a sprue. The PM (black handle) are regular diagonal/wire cutters. I don't remember the exact price but I don't believe I spent more than $10 each.

    Do these work like dream?

I once had tamiya sharp pointed side cutter (which I don't have anymore) and it was cutting like a dream. When cutting ABS parts, I barely felt anything. When cutting PS, it was cutting it very neatly.

  5. Hi Guys,

I'm planning to build a model kit,

not in a "let's make it all perfect" but more of "let's enjoy" way.

So, I don't plan to use any sandpaper which makes the process extremely boring.

However, I do want to cut the parts off the runner neatly and would like to hear you guys suggestion about cheaper way to do so instead of using Tamiya SHarp Pointed Side Cutter which costs around $30.

    Thank you B))

  6. It might be,I'd say we need a close up of the nose before I judge....I mean who really cares if the figure doesn't have underwear? is it really that big of a deal? : / It's underwear.

Saw a close up of it and she didn't have it. I remember myself drooling over it. :)

anyways, I was just kidding around it not being anime accurate

  7. Yeah, Kakizaki will be just like Max... but I suspect we're going to see a flood of Max VF-1A TVs on eBay and so the Kakizaki will go for much less of a premium. That's just my guess but we'll see. So far, every Weathering Edition has been a Yamato site exclusive with a limited ordering window or something even more difficult (like the 200 piece raffle). I'm guessing getting the 1J will be anything but easy/cheap.

Wonder why Yamatos wouldn't mass produce weathering versions...

Anyways, hopefully the vf-1j will be unlimited exclusive so anyone can get it :)

  8. I can't understand why model kit prices are so high in USA when there is a huge market for it.

I live in USA but sometimes go to korea which apparently has less modellers than USA. However, the companies there were mass shipping the model kits and you can get it at the same price as in Japan. Bandai Alto VF-25 was around 35 USD + $3 shipping.

  9. I basically want to do something with my hands and therefore looking for kits to build.

Do you guys have any recommendation where I can get kits for a cheap price?

I'm more of interested in snap-tight kits from bandai.

Therefore, VF-25 is my subject of interest. Yet, I also love building those MasterGrade models as well.

    Thank you guys.
