Sadly (for me) I dont have a blu-ray BURNER, so I haven't tried any of the burning methods. Hopefully between all these options everyone who owns it can watch it with subs.

Would you be able to share it with us?

If it's allowed, I'll gladly share the file. If not you should easily be able to find it.

Steps

- rip track 02 off new 2016 macross blu-ray into an mkv file with MakeMKV

- Download file Macross_DYRL_1_1984_Eng.zip from http://subsmax.com/subtitles-movie/macross-do-you-remember/-english

- Unzipabove and used Macross - Do You Remember Love - Eng.srt as starting point.

- Open up website http://subshifter.bitsnbites.eu/

- Upload the .srt file. Shift by MINUS 13.9..

- take resulting file and added as a subtitle track in MakeMKV

- Save. Now watch with subs. They are 'pretty closely timed' .. not perfect but good enough for me..

Also. Unless you have a blu-ray burner you'll have to watch on you computer.

I DL'ed a subtitle and went to a site that lets you resync it by entering a time to offset by. (since it seems all version on the BLU Ray have text that starts with 2009 that wasn't on the original.

Looks great! Is so awesome to have this with subs and blu ray quality.

I dont have sticker shock so much as I just have never been a huge fan of the monster.. So its an easy pass for me. I have paid that for Metal Gundams.. and a few other things.

Also.. Yea. the Detolf Comment. it wont fit in my shelves!

I really hope thy don't Kill the Hi-Metal R line when we dont all rush out and buy this in multiples. I gotta sit this one out. I dont LOVE it enough to pay that.

No shame in that dude. Robotech got me into this. I didn't know what Macross was. For all its faults I owe my love of Macross to it! The real shame is what Harmony Gold has done to us/it SINCE then.

I think there are websites where you can download subs from, not sure which ones though . I'd google it.

It's funny. I've been a Macross nerd so long I have the subs printed out on printer paper and in a Binder.. from in college.. around 91-93!! Wonder where that 3.5" floppy full of subtitle files is now...

So for those of us not familiar with the history of all versions of Macross DYRL available on AND offline..

I have the legit DVD (forget which year), a Subbed HK DVD to go with it, uglier picture but I can follow the plot better, the 2012 Blu Ray, and Now this 2016 Blu Ray just arrived today.

I already know how to rip Blu Ray to disc. Is there a simple way to extract the subs from the old HK-DVD and put them onto the rip of my new Blu Ray?

(PS I don't care if this is legit. I have paid for this movie so many times its ridiculous ;) )

I haven't read much on whether the blur is gone (did i miss it?) .. just that the gore is back.

So the crushing and flying head are back? (Why do I care about this? Its irrationa!!)

So I just read this page.. Does anyone have this IN HAND and can confirm whether or not the censored scenes have been put back in?

I wouldn't take too much stock in what those pictures on AmiAmi look like. To me it looks like a 3d printed prototype thats been painted. Look at how all the large pieces have rows of 'lines' everywhere that are characteristic of something that has come off a 3d printer and not been cleaned up yet.

Was in stock at AmiAmi AND CDJapan just a few mins ago. And stunningly it mustve gone up on time or near to on HLJ cause its already order stopped. HLJ is my favorite.. but they must be everyone elses too.

Well that wasnt so terrible. I slept through it and still preordered. Was still available at 2 of the places i had bookmarked.

To soon to sell the regult, but when I do it will only be marked up enough to cover shipping. Scalpers suck

Im hoping this will be a little easier than the regult as maybe people wont need to army-build. I need ONE glaug. I'll probably end up reselling a Regult at some point since i got in on two preorders. within a few mins of each other and was scared to back out of either cart until it went through. One each is enough for me.

2. Blurry scenes fixed

3. (Pipe dreaming) - English Subs..

Either 1 or 2 would cause me to buy it. Subs would make me jump for joy

Yes sir! It's coming out on the 20th of October. But I assumed the 20th is the online retail and the 23rd is the store release date. Though I'm not 100% sure since I can't read too much kanji now. But it's safe to assumed that it's going to be available by then.

There's actually 2 sides to the argument. People that want three got three because these are regults and there was not really a lot of time where you saw just one. Plus buying as many as you want actually helps to let the toy companies know that people DO want these types of toys. The other side of the argument is that people buy multiples to sell later... which I'm sure is true but you can't really call out people and tell them not to buy just to save pieces for other members. There's no information anywhere that says other members are there to buy these "extra" items. Also consider that the 3 minimum cap is there to cap the number scalpers can buy. Who's to say that they should stop at 1 or 2 when they decide that 3 is the number that keeps the scalpers at a minimum?

I say every preorder that goes to a Macrossworld member is one that is FAR LESS likely to be scalped on eBay. At least I like to believe you all are good folks.
