  1. There's a separate thread for the dispute but the short answer is that HG hasn't contributed in any meaningful ways to the creators of Macross, HG's legal claims are questionable, and the perception is that HG hasn't been honest or acted in good faith when dealing with the Japanese companies.

The (former?) head of HG (Agrama) was Berlusconi's occult partner in USA, so it is not unlikely that the behaviour of HG is a bit shady.

  2. One thing I'm not clear about this Lady M (& Megaroad-01 by relation) :

    - Is this Lady M already in real-space or still trapped in fold-space (or black hole) ?

    - If she's still trapped in fold-space, meaning that she controls XAOS from behind the 'curtain'. She must have quite political/monetary influence to do that, because she's just a 'transmission' (literally).

    - If she (& Megaroad-01) already out in real-space, then what's with all the secrecy (by Berger) ?

The return of Megaroad-01 (with its' legendary space-war hero crews) should have been a great news in Macross universe, but none of it is hinted in the Delta.

Unless the NUNG is keeping it secret. But from my point of view, that doesn't make sense, because the return of Megaroad-01 could be used as major propaganda by NUNG.

Unless Megaroad's crew is working against NUNS with their own political agenda

  3. Frontier had (in part) the same problem for me: a lot of cool characters badly underdeveloped. Compared to Delta, however, they seem to come straight out of a Shakespeare play.

This new Macross installment is a strange beast, the lack of battroid action (or any action) and bland "bad guys" don't help, but I'll wait until the final episode to make a clean judgement.

Obviously, if the incredibly cool mercat from earier episodes resurfaces, I would be unbearably glad

  4. Both were crap. infact...........all of Aquarion is crap. I've been scratching my head on things Kawamori has done since Macross Zero. Why he's gone to this format of story telling is beyond me. I don't even know if it began with Macross Zero since I've seen very little of his stuff inbetween these points. I mean he nailed it out of the park with Plus. So I'm gonna say somewhere between Plus and Zero he lost his way.

Ahem, Plus had Watanabe on board and it shows
