dna Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 I guess refers to a delta shaped wing - does it refer to all delta wings or a specific kind?
Angel's Fury Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 I guess refers to a delta shaped wing - does it refer to all delta wings or a specific kind? What arrow? Are you refering the plane "arrow" that Canada had one time??
GreatMoose Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 (edited) It's a specific kind of delta wing. The F-16XL has a cranked arrow wing, as does the Chinese J-7E (sort of). It's essentially a compound sweep delta. It's not really the same thing as a double-delta (SAAB Draken or Viggen), though. Edited June 15, 2004 by GreatMoose
Angel's Fury Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 It's a specific kind of delta wing. The F-16XL has a cranked arrow wing, as does the Chinese J-7II (sort of). It's essentially a compound sweep delta. It's not really the same thing as a double-delta (SAAB Draken or Viggen), though. I see!!! Thanks for the clarification!!! Now let the discussion commence!!!
dna Posted June 15, 2004 Author Posted June 15, 2004 Are there any diagrams comparing the two? Just want to see the difference in shapes in a line art form if I can.
dna Posted June 15, 2004 Author Posted June 15, 2004 (edited) Ah, so it's that crook near the end of the wing as opposed to a straight edge.. Thanks. Edited June 15, 2004 by dna
