Mecha material

Elephants have highly specialized feet to deal with the massive amount of weight they place upon them. I believe it involves large amounts of cushioning fat that soften the force and distribute the weight of the elephants bulk with each step. Since the callused, arched human (and in turn Zentradi) foot bears little resemblance to that of an elephants flat and soft one, the massive amount of pressure aplied to the Zentrans feet would most likely cause unbearble pain with each step. Does Dr. Schoel make his pads in size 78?

On the original topic, I know that Macross II is probably the least respected chapter of the series, and that the Palladium RPG books aren't exactly spot on. However, in the Macross II RPG deck plans sourcebook, it says that Marduk ships, which are slightly modified copies of Zentran ships, start out as ovoid blobs of rough, silicon-like material that gradually morph into the shape of a ship. The highly organic appearance of both and Zentradi these ships seems to support this theory. An organic composition would have other advantages, such as the ablility to slowly 'heal', a must for the technologically inept Zentradi, who would otherwise lose their entire fleet to ignored malfunctions and deterioration.

...by that reasoning, the legendary King Og (yes, a real person!) who was 12-14' tall...

Hmm... What legend is that?

Have any more information on this dude?

He's in the Bible.

Only Og king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Rephaites. (see Nephilim, Giants) His bed was made of basalt and was more than thirteen feet long and six feet wide. Deuteronomy 3:11

The Jewish legend is he held onto Noah's ark during the flood and Noah gave him food to eat...during that time...then when the waters went down..Og jumped ship so to speak and headed out on his own...They claim thats why David had giants during his days...!

There are non-jewish references as well, but I have none of those handy at work.
