You can check the legacy site regarding kits: https://macrossworld.com/macross/models/_models_plastic.htm Based on what I saw I think it's color-coded as to which company belongs too. Most Arii boxes have red BW logo. Imai on the other hand have purple BW logo. Bandai have silver (or grey) BW logo. Nichimo has black and white BW logo. And so on.
