Gundam 0080 on ANN's "Buried Treasure" Feature

I just finished watching 0080 and in the last episode I caught a glimpse of UN Spacy written on the side of the Gundam's head as it was sliding backwards down the hill.

What's the story there I knew there was a tie in with Patlabor on one of the SD Gundam shows but what's the Macross connection?

Wow, and here I though GERWALK had the title for most ridiculous acronym. Looks like UNT Spacy retconned is giving GERWALK a run for it's money
