TEKNOSYS
I working on a model of my car, and I had to do a lot of sanding on the body to get it to match my real life car and I want to prime it with Mr Surfacer 1200 I have. It's in bottle form and I'll be airbrushing it on. What should I use to thin it with? Is oderless mineral spirits OK?
David Hingtgen
Probably not, enamel vs lacquer. Try lacquer thinner if you can't get Mr Color Thinner. http://www.swannysmodels.com/Surfacer.html

fernarias
If you can't get Mr. Color Thinner go to a auto paint supply store (check your yellow pages) and ask them for premium lacquer thinner. It has a different formulation than regular store bought lacquer thinner and is closer in formula to Mr. Color Thiner (cheaper too).
