Stamen0083
3.13mm is a rather odd size. I'm curious as to why you decided to use 3.13mm instead of, say, 3.0mm?
captain america
Hi Stamen. Umm... Cos that was the only drill bit I had handy at the time Actually, it's cos a 3mm hole would just plain be too tight to push the ball-joint pins into. This way, the hole is just a hair's breath larger than the pins, and the extra slack can easily be made-up with a bit of CA glue. The reason it's such an odd size is that it's probably a bit in an imperial measurement. I simply converted it over to metric for ease of use. Stamen0083
Understandable. :-) What was the standard size, if you recall? In my experience, it is easier to find standard drill bits instead of oddball metric sizes. I've been looking for a 5.125mm drill bit for heaven knows how long.
