How would you make the Yamato YF-21 FP

I'm looking for a quick fix to making my Yamato YF-21 FP look more blue than purple. I was thinking of spraying a coat of clear blue over it. Do you guys think that would work? Some suggestions would be nice. I just dont want to do another full blown repaint.

I am no expert when it comes to painting, being colour blind does not help it any bit more

But just a suggestion, how about spraying the Fast Pack parts with one of those widely available coloured transparent/transluscent paints with a hint of either grey (for darker results) or blue? I believe Tamiya or Mr. Hobby stocks them in assorted colours.
