Unlocked the VF-19Kai, and man that thing is annoying in battle.  The noise of the sound pod is like bugs squirming, distracting and gross.

Also Sheryl event is starting today.  I think the new episode is going to be the Sagittarius stage costume without the coat.

I seem to recall there was some Macross work that had Minmay that wasn't voiced by Iijima.  I am guessing it's the Pachinko, or maybe the SDFM console shooter?

Was there new voice acting recorded of Minmay for the Pachiko machine?  And who was the CV?

Basara is getting released on the 20th.

The free gacha only drop up to 3☆ plates.  The Minmay swimsuit one is a 4 or 5☆ plate.  So there is no chance of getting it from the Free Gacha.

Also the current gacha doesn't have the Sheryl swimsuit episode (which is the one Minmay swimsuit plate belong to).

Yeah, most of us old folks think spending money on virtual waifu is ridiculous.  But it's just like 'almost' like gambling, you are probably going to lose whatever you can afford, but you still find enjoyment while throwing your money away.

It's just rating that uta mac is the best in genre, not overall download (popularity), nor highest amount of money people spent (overall revenue), which are more important as a business.

Gacha funded games in Japan is the norm now, and uta-mac is currently the highest rated rhythm (waifu) game available on the market, beating out Love Live, Idolmaster and Bang Dream.

Spending money to buy some orbs helps fund the game, and it provides record of the account ownership in case you need to recover it.

I swear they made "Very Hard" mode for Do You Remember Love? relatively easy compared to the newer Macross songs, so that old folks like us can actually beat it.

On track of hitting 70k (for that second plate) before the end of the swimsuit event.

And the BG of Giragira Summer is so distracting (and pale, so there is no contrast), I had to turn it off.

There are quite a few white crystals in the event rewards too from what I saw too.

White crystal drop is kind of random since is not color specific like the Blue, Yellow and Red ones which are tied to the "colored" songs.

There are 2 dailies that drop predominantly white crystals, but you can only run them 3 times a day, and the drop rate is for the medium one is really "meh".

Yes, the plates do matter.

Games like this is designed if you whale (spend thousands of $$$), can you actually just faceroll the hard/very hard difficulty, literally, and still get S+.

How does one get this game on iphone or ipad for folks outside japan?

Create a Japanese iTune account.

The game starts being super generous with material and stones (generic name for gacha currency). You can easily do several gacha 10 rolls and max a couple plates with the farmable stuff.

Once the farmable stuff are picked, then there is the proverbial wall, and the grinding starts.  I am like everyone, getting stuck behind the medium white crystal (Melody Stone?) for a lot of the progression.  Of course having skills (which I do not) helps a lot with the grinding.

But the game has Macross songs and Valks (kind of?), so it's still rather enjoyable.

AXIA event just started. Game assigns you a challenge, beat the challenge and earn ranking points. Rinse and repeat.

Each attempt requires energy and space money.

It's kind of cool they actually have 3D rendered background.  Most Rhythm games are just 2D sprite doing 2.5 animation.

Also Freyja video is unlocked, and not region locked to JPN.  LoL.

Will HG send out the goon squad with Cease and Decease letters?
