  1. gene, i bow down. i've spent about 3k on the car and it looks stock too, lol. Thanks Bro, But no need to bow down. I consider my Escalade as a big family car with style. Here a picture I took a few months ago! I can't believe she think's they're stock
  2. Oh most recent purchase would have to be yesterday. I baught 1 of 50 LR300 assualt rifle from Airsoft Extreme. Paid about $1300 but it was worth it! Damn things shots very nice Can't wait to test her out this weekend! Here's a pictures of her on Arnie's Airsoft; http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/news/january04/lr300.jpg
  3. $10,500.00 for my 24's on my 2003 ESV Escalade! and my wife think's they're the stock rims I hope she doesn't see this! Oh another couple thousand on my airsoft hobbie!!! \gene
  4. Ok... maybe its selfish of myself to think of this idea but I just had a thought of a unique way to thank the original kit owner. How about we pitch in and see if we can get his recast finished up by wm cheng? Would wm cheng be interested? Being a kit collector myself I know I'd greatly value one of his finished works and all of us will get the step-by-step guide on how to do this kit justice out of the deal as well. What do you guys think? The guide itself would also find a permanent home here on Macross World which could be credited to wm cheng and the original kit owner as well. Carl Hey Carl, I was just thinking the same thing. Only problem is WM Cheng is a really busy man and I don't think it would be likely that he would take the commissioned work I have PM'd him in the past about possibly making a few models for me and he stated that he barely had time to do models for himself It would be awesome if he did take on this project, but if not, I'm sure we can find a few modelers in the forum that can do the Koenig justice. I have already commissioned Kurt to build the Koenig for me once I get my kit, so I can ask him if he would be interested in building another one for the original owner of the IHP kit. Well time for bed! See you all in the AM! Gene
  5. Hi Everyone, My gosh! I've been gone for only a few hours and some much has already happened. I'm so glad that everyone is volunteering to see this project come together. What a community As mentioned before, let me know if there is anything else that I can do. Melissa, if you want, I can split the cost of the screw with you, or I can help Carl cover some of the cost for the casting. I can also help Chris with the cost for the decals! I surely hope that Devin can find sometime to take on this task! The magnittude of this project warrants only the best quality and Devin's decals are the BEST!!! He is currently working on a few projects for me, which I would gladly delay, for the sake of the Koenig! You guys are awesome!!! Take Care, Gene
  6. Hi Mike, I'm sure glad to see that the 1/55 customs are still in the works! No matter how awesome the 1/48's are, there's nothing like a custom chunky monkey! Great Job! /Gene
  7. Oooo 1st dibs Hey whatever it will take to get this project going. Just let me know what the cost will be and the time frame. /gene P.S. do you guys remember who baught the built Koenig that Shawn was selling during the original recast release? And do we have any pictures?
  8. Hello Everyone, Man I am so glad that we're back on track! My offer still stands, so let me know if there is anything I can do to help speed this project along. I can't believe that we're so close to making the Koenig a reality. This is a great time in WM. This just proves that a community of liked minded individuals can accomplish the impossible. As far as choosing the recaster. I guess that's really up to the owner of the original IHP kit. But If I had to vote on who gets to decide, I would leave that up to Carl, Christopher, and Melissa. Seems like they're the experts in that field and I would gladly support their decision These are awesome times guys & gals so lets all rejoice and enjoy this experience! Take Care, Gene
  9. Hey guys, I totally agree with Tom, let's try and keep this thread debate free and just post updates on the Koenig and the other two kits. My eyes are killing me! So please chill on whether or not recasting is wrong! Thanks, Gene
  10. Please put me down for 2 of the Koenig, and 1 YF21. Thanks, Gene
  11. I am truly lucky Jung! Another Masterpiece to add to my collection. /gene
  12. Yeah I totally agree w/ Rob! We need an offical list that way we can see how big of a project this will be. Does anyone care to create a new post showing a list of buyers? If we can, try and get it pinned that way it will be easier to get updates to all potential buyers. I am so stoked about this project. It's just amazing how we can all come together and make this possible for fans such as ourselves. Now if we can only get John M. to finish off his Legioss! That would really make our year! Best Regards to everyone! Gene
  13. Hey Melissa, Great Job!!!! Count me in for whatever cost. We need to see this project completed. Regards, Gene P.S. Sorry for the quick post, clients are here I'll write more later.
  14. Excuse my ignorance, but what scale is the new YF19 going to be? It would be awesome to see her in a 1/48 scale but I can't imagine Yamato changing their line of Mac + valks from 1/72 to 1/48. Any help is appreciated. /gene
  15. Hello Everyone, Seems like we're all on the same page! So with that said, LET THE HUNTING BEGIN! Let's not make this a cut throat thing, but more of a community involvement! I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I live off the rush to find rare pieces. I will contact some of my friends in Asia and see if we can come up with something. Chris, I will make sure that my wife has you're contact information. If anything happens to me, my collection will go to you My daughter's take no interest in Macross Best of luck to everyone! Gene
  16. Hey Christopher, I'm in all the way. Let me know what you guys need from me. I will fund the purchase or the project to get one of these kits or both for that matter. Call me later so we can go over the specifics! I don't have access to Yahoo Japan, but $$$ is no problem, and you know that 1st hand With all that was said in this thread! I think we all share a common goal, which is to get these kits into a MW members hand that is willing to recast and share with everyone else! I for one don't care to have the original because I plan to have these babies built! A kit sitting in a box is just damn criminal Best Wishes! Gene
  17. Okay.. i'm kicking myself for not ordering Seiichi recast!!! I remember seeing that post a few years back on the MW home page. Damn I wish I ordered one back then. Shawn... Graham.. please talk to Seiichi and have him reconsider making another batch!!! PLEASE!!!! Thanks, Gene

    Q-Rau

Hello Everyone, You've got to remember that this is the first run on the Q-Rau or any enemey mech from Yamato. Like all of Yamato's releases, you will see some ridiculous prices until the market becomes flooded with Q-Rau. Then you will most likely see prices drop. I would suggest that if you are not in a hurry to get your hands on her, to wait! Chances are she'll drop in value and you'll probably be able to snag one on Ebay for 50-70 bucks. Just look at past products from Yamato and how high prices were set and how quickly they dropped! I remember buying a Hikaru 1/60 for like $90 when they first came out, now you can pick 1 up for almost half that! If you want to be the first to oOh and Aghh over the Q-Rau then buy it! But if you're on a budget, then just wait. Unless it's a limited release like the Low Viz, which I don't recall seeing As Macross fans we're definitely spoiled! I remember back in the days when everyone was fighting and scratching for 1/55 strike cannon's for their 1/55 customs. We don't want to diss Yamato for attempting to meet the demands of fans as passionate as us! They can very well turn their backs on us like Bandai and say, "Screw it!" I say support their company by buying their products. I'm sure at the ends they'll make the proper adjustments to make us all HAPPY!!! My 2cents! Gene

    Q-Rau

Sorry, I'm late! Hey, I want that link too. I might even order it right now!! (I know I said I'll wait for the green too, but I'm a Queadlunn-Rau geek and I'm just too weak minded) Hi Everyone, I don't have a link for Toylet Town, but you can email Ming at toylettown@hotmail.com if you have any questions or want to make an order. Remember he only has 18 pieces so order them while you can. Make that 17, I ordered 1 for myself Regards, Gene

    Q-Rau

Hi Everyone, Per Toylet Town, The Q-Rau was released today and has 18 in hand. His prices seems very good for past customers. $85 bucks plus $29.95 for shipping to the U.S. Not bad. I've dealt with him in the past and he's pretty good about replying to emails and shipping items out quickly! Pictures he sent me look really good! Man I guess I'll be getting a few of these too! Regards, Gene
  24. Hello, Amazing shots! I never really thought of having the Vermillion 01 squad done, but those photos might make me reconsider! Great customs. Keep up the good work. gene
