Keep tje 1/48s. They won't fetch a high enough price to pay for a set of 1/60s.
Keep them and save up for new 1/60s. Then, you can have a nice, big collection. If you're running out of shelf space, hang them from the ceilings.
I love my 1/48s because they're so friggin' huge. Twice the size of any Gundam model I have (3 times the HGs), larger than even Jet Convoy, and bigger than any of my Zoids. They have an ominous shelf presence, and are priceless to my collection. I'm even wanting to buy more, though there are a few 1/60s on my list.
So, keep them, and set aside some of your money to buy new 1/60s to ADD to your collection. People always say they're out of space before realizing they have the same amount of floor space as a ceiling.
Couldn't agreed more...I'm still trying to get my hangs on every possible 1/48 I can...other then those super rare and almost impossible to get.

By far my favourite box art is the VF-0A, VF-0S, Low Vis Ver.1, VF-1A CF, Weathering Special Roy Focker, VF-1J with super parts Hikaru, M&M. Best if they can have it all the same for the same series like all the zero box art will be just like the VF-0A & VF-0S, then the Plus will be like the weathering special with the line art, Macross TV like the CF type and DYRL remains as it is in Black etc. I think their current box art (VF-11B, MAX TV in fact all the current 1/60 not the first few releases ) really sucks making the product feels kind of cheap in a way, Thats what I feel so no offense to the rest.

I think this is the Yamato Online special for members. Where as for the VF-1J is the Hyper Hobby special.

From my point of view, get it if you like it. The price is kind of attractive I must say ( but I got mine cheaper awhile back ) I still like the detail and size of the 1/48 and still trying to complete the 1/48 collection.

1) Yes the left Leg cover is for the spare ammunition storage.
2) Yes the right arm too can be extended.
The spare ammunition storage was featured in the first movie, during Noa's ride up the elevator in the Ark near the end, where she had to manually reload her Ingram's revolver cannon. Another question for those who already have it: does the left hand extend as well, just like the right one? I think this is shown in the TV episode involving the underground dragon (no really!). -
Is the Bandai's GFF Zeta Plus metal comp u talking abt? Comes in a blue limited or red version? I have both the Patlabor and the Metal comp and I'm selling my Blue limited away.
Damn I don't know what to get Yamato labor or bandai's GFF Zeta plus. RAWR -
I got mine from a local shop here in Singapore. When I take it out of the box by holding the body the joints feels loose but to realise it's the parts that is heavy, other then that everything is fine and feels solid.
Where did you get yours from? OverDrive STILL hasn't shipped mine citing delays in their shipment. Argh! How's the articulation of the toy? Any loose parts? -
Got mine yesterday, I must said this is 1 hell of a toy man, from the box art to the packaging and the QC of the toy, it's the best so far from YAMATO. If YAMATO were to make the Macross line like this Bandai would lose it's Macross fans for sure. The Box Art is like an art piece you can just put it up to display. When open, the toy is hold together by 2 styrofoam to keep everything in place, when open there's a piece of silk cloth over the toy top and under. The finishing is high gloss finished. This toy is heavy with it's leg diecast, parts of the body is too, I think mostly or fully painted. It's so highly detail just feels like the real thing. It comes with 2 barton, 1 made of metal and the other which can retrack made of plastic. The gun and rounds, 2 Batts for the lights, 1 Antena, 1 Figure and another set with just the head. Silicon included too. Only 1 thing that bother me, the paint job at the back (only a small part) have some bubbles and uneven but overall it's great. I hope they made the Macross this way.

Hi,
When I was in Jap 2 weeks ago, I actually came across quite a few shop selling it and it's all normal toy shops not any special shops. The price is less then 2000 yen if I didn't remember wrongly.
From what I hear, Hasegawa released this in very limited quantities and was sold out imediately. I was wondering if anyone here knows if this will get a woder release as I do love the paint scheme and the beautiful box art.- Nghia

Sorry guys,
I went to Akihabara 4 times and basically walk through every toys shops there I know and didn't manage to see any Hikaru weathering for sale. The only weathering for sale there is the defender and the roy focker in Nakano.

Just came back from Jap.....the standard is ard 14700 yen - 16700 yen....the cheapest I find is 12700 yen.....so it's ard there when covert to Sing from the high Yen.
AFAIK. VF-25G and RVF are going for approx 240SGD each. That's the rate going at "the old man's shop" on 2nd floor of China Square Central
I managed to get it just slightly lower
