I would say that this [Zinjo's theory] is the most likely theory: Unless....nah wouldn't work...well it could but they'd really being stretching some things. The Frontier fleet was in the neighborhood of on ancient battlefield not to many episodes ago, they might still be in the general interstellar area.

Actually I was thinking of Macross II, not Robotech, with the ship "waking up" when the Marduk fleet dropped into the Earth System and firing off the main-cannon. . I don't actually recall Robotech implying that the ship was a sentient though, though it's been years since I've had anything to do with any Robotechish takes on Macross, so my memory is probably rusty on the finer details.

Loved this episode, absolutely beautifully done. For some odd reason, the scene with the director fishing ended up being my favorite; there's a simplicity that's hard to explain about it that just works.

Caught the episode on Keyhole, actually was surprised as to how good it seems to be-- holding out final judgment till I can see a sub. I'm thinking that too. Though it was hard to tell for sure with the low quality of my Keyhole Stream.
