An update was just posted on Robotech.com from Steve Yun about the Beta Fighter, he stated:
"I asked Toynami about the exact ship date, and they said it will be shipped out to retailers in the first week of December.
Sorry to everyone who was counting on it arriving in November. I've updated the store item to reflect the new shipping ETA."

So, if the Ray/Rand Beagle releases in March of next year, the Toymani version will probably release in April. I am going with the MPC version becuase I like not paying so much shipping to the US and I can see everyone's reviews before I get mine. I better start coming up with a good excuse why I need another $200 display item.

I was tempted to buy the Beagle Ride Armor from Overdrive, but I was holding off a little longer. But since it's up on Robotech.com and I have all of the other Masterpiece collections (I'm a completist!) I went ahead and threw down the money.

On another note, if you haven't had a chance to pop over to Robotechx, they have a slide show image of the box for the Toynami Beta Fighter. The image is only of the front cover and not the best quality. They went with Rand, so it will be interesting to see who they put on the other three boxes. (Red, Green, & Shadow)

I recently decided to bite the bullet and bought all three from Overdrive. After item cost and shipping, it broke down to $61 dollars total for each. Even though it was shipped from Japan, they packaged them securely and I didn't have any bent boxes or disconnected parts.
As for shipping, I order them on a Friday evening, and they arrived the next Thursday.

Has anyone seen any images of the Megahouse version of Houquet? I have searched the web for the last couple of weeks for anything and all I have found is the CM version.

Yeah that's right i almost forgot, i HATE the weight of my MPC red Alpha, it's far too heavy, no way would i consider getting the Beta!
Something else to throw out there, wonder if the link-up would be abled for the CM legioss?
Robotech X has a video interview with George from Toynami at Comic Con on their website. In that interview, George said that they had to add weight to the feet of the Beta to counteract the weight of the Alpha. That way the whole thing didn't fall over.
So, if you didn't like the weight of the Alpha, you are in for a ride with the weight of the Beta.
Personally, the weight doesn't bother me, I prefer a toy to have some weight to it, not like the feather weight of the CM combo.
As to the link up between the two products, that would be interesting to see. When Jenius does his review, hopefully he can take a look at that.

FYI... Beta Fighter is up for Preorder at Robotech.com for $149.99 with a listed release date of October/November 2008. The Red and Green are set to release later.
Ride Armors, Legioss and Treads! Oh my!

Another delay for the Beta. Here is what Steve Yun said on RT.com:
Ok, just got word from Toynami that the Beta Fighters will be arriving in the US over the weekend, and retailers should be getting them early next week.
Considering it is already in Asia, I would be suprised if we didn't get them next week. But then again, who knows. We probably need to plan on them arriving with Santa on Christmas day.
