Actually, the helmet is not separate, it's a one-piece casting; you have 2 heads in the kit: one with helmet, one without. Unfortunately because the hair on his head is solid resin, had the helmet been separate, it would hav needed to be ridiculously oversized to fit over his noggin'. I merely made a casting of the un-helmeted head, dremeled off the hair, and inserted it into a pre hollowed-out helmet and then cast it as one piece. Far simpler than it sounds.
Admiral,
Will the kit be coming with a hollowed-out helmet?

As mentioned in the title, I'm in need of hi resolution scans of Nousjadeul-Ger decals.
-
Is the Nousjadeul-Ger a power suit like the one in Appleseed or armour trooper type like the Votoms??

Last month, I had the good fortune of being able to buy the masters to Cobywan's 1/72 Lancer II resin kit, which has been out of production for several years now. And it gives me great pleasure to announce that it will soon be available once again!
The price has not been finalized, but it will be under $50
No firm release date yet either, but my goal is to have them ready by the end of August.
Decals may or may not be included, but all the necessary decals (all 4 of them) can easily be obtained from most any Hasegawa VF-1 kit
I've heard reports that the antenna blade from the original release tended to droop over time, so I'm taking measures to prevent that from happening in my kits. This will most likely involve having a carbon fiber rod cast into the part. I did some test casts with CF inserts today, and was quite pleased with the results
Now, so I have an idea of how many of these things I'll need to cast... Who's interested in getting one?
One for me please
Cheers

I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself very well.
Some of the decals themselves include English text (like the black ones on the left). So why would a Zentraedi Glaug pod have English markings?
English also an alien language to most japanese..... They'll run when they hear that you're talking english to them

Yeah, I'm going to take a little break after the instructions are done. Afterwards, maybe something light... Like a 1/72 Kamjin figure.
Kamjin is good. It'll suit the 1/72 Glaug I'm building right now.
-
No problem. Thanks!
It's only a few bucks so I think I'll buy some too and see how we go
Cowie:
What are you working on??
-
Thanks for the link. Is this your business? If it isn't, have you used samueldecal.com before? I'm keen to place an order but wondering what the quality is like.
Nope, it's not my business. I am working on the 1/72 resin Glaug right now so I'd ordered their decals . I'd only ordered their Glaug and Regult decals but haven't start trying them out so can't tell you the quality.

Since Yamato will be releasing the destroid Tomahawk in 1/60 this coming september. I am wondering if anyone will be willing to part with their 1/72 Moscato's Tomahawk??
-
Hey there...just wondering if I could get a scan of that too? And if anyone has a scan of the 1/72 Regult decals that would be appreciated as well.
Post the link to some after market Macross decal

Seeing the trend in Bandai's marketing lately, it's very unlikely they will release the Super parts as a separate kit. Their Code Geass kits have rehashed the same Lancelot kit for 3 different versions. Strike Gundam has been rehashed numerous times (albeit some were colour variations) but the add on packs require you to buy a new Strike Gundam. Likewise, every other Gundam that is a slight variant or armoured version is released with the corresponding Gundam. The only company that really still does accessory packs for character models nowadays is Kotobukiya.
Or just wait until B-club releases the upgrade kits like the gundam cover kits or accessory packs or even the high detail manipulators (hands) since it's a Bandai release.

Starship modeller still has less than a handfull of the masterfully sculpted Moscato Regult Scout. (bites tongue).
Thanks for sharing the news. I'd already bought the Destroid Spartan and the Regult Scout from them.
-
Don't mean to open the can of worm (oh, maybe yes ). Since the Gnerl already includes a pilot, I hope it would not take too much work to modify it to fit in a Regult. Is it possible to open a poll to see if we have enough interest for the Regult pilot?
How about opening a poll to guage the interest your product line-up?? We'll see which can of worms everyone wants I'm still waiting for the regults and some of the the destroids.
-
Nope!
It's only too late for the Regults.....and the Tomahawk and the Phanlanx......Hey John, Have you scultured the Glaug??? Which mechas from the Macross have you released??

Hi guys, I'm building the 1/72 Zentradi Glaug. I have only a few sketches. Does any one of you have more detailed ones???
Thanks

Nuh, gonna miss these. Bring on my CF-1A! And my VF-1D! And my Glaug and my Q-Rau Green and Red, and my...
What about Revoltech Destroids, wonder if they'll bother? lol, imagine a Monster Revoltech.
They DON'T only do stuff to fit their normal box sizes, the Fraulien stuff gets their own boxes, and the Eva movie weapon
sets are the largest so far. So why not a Monster. Everyone would buy one. Ohh and it would have to be in scale.
Ha..... I wonder how kaiyodo is going to make the macross monster to revoltech....
-
Not a bad idea at all. Since I plan on buying all TTGL Revoltech-related stuff, that wouldn't bother me one bit. LOVE the new pics! Does anyone have these up for preorder yet??
Ooops.... from the article it said that the Milia version Revoltech valkyrie will only be available limited thru order via the magazine. It won't be sold via hobbylink or hobby search. I might be able to get them here in Hong Kong and they will be doing the regult version too...
-
That is gorgeous! Really nice looking kit. I am tempted. I wonder how bit it is. Probably quite big because my 1/240 scale monster is already somewhere around 6 inches long (hey now, stop that) so I can imagine that the 1/144 is at least 10 inches (OK thats enough). Do they list the final size when completed?
Don't know how large it is, I never tried to check it. Here is a link to the site of someone here in Hong Kong who built it. An he also built a heavy armored valkyrie.

It's a recast of the Yellow Sub kit, the metal tubes are a nice touch but are most likely just 4 K and S alluminum tubes....
Yeah, its a recast. I don't have it so know about the quality of the barrels. The one I had is the original kit and it didn't come with metal tubes. But I did saw people here in HOng KOng selling turned aluminium tubes.

Have you ever rotocast large parts? I've bought a few models that cast up quite well with this approach.
Hi Guys, I'm a late comer to this site I was wondering if there are anymore destroid kits for sale???
1/72 Kamjin figure.

Count me in for one regular soldier when it re-release.
