  1. Hi everyone,

I've stepped away from the Macross game for a while and have made the decision to purge some stuff that's been sitting in boxes. Appreciate any feedback prices on the following:

    • Realistic prices for these items
    • Recommendation on best place to sell, here or eBay

    Items:

    • Yamato 1/72 YF-19 v1.0 MISB
    • Yamato 1/60 VF-1A Canon fodder TRU v1.0 MISB
    • Yamato 1/60 VF-1A Hikaru v1.0 MISB
    • Yamato 1/60 VF-0S MIB
    • Yamato 1/100 VB-6 MIB

  2. Been out of the Macross game for a couple of years, but want to pick up one of these without paying eBay prices.

Prefer MISB and full set over the advanced version.

    I’m located in Canada.

  3. Like the title says, I'm in Toronto and looking to clear out a few items, hopefully fill in some missing pieces. I'm interested in trading out the following:

    -Yamato SV-51 Nora

    -Yamato VF-0S

    -Yamato VB-06 Monster

    -Yamato v1 VT-1

    -Yamato v1 VE-1

    Looking to get the following:

    -1/60 YF-21

    -1/60 VF-11

    -1/48 Hikaru 1S

All items have been opened and transformed a couple of times max - all are in good condition and pictures available on request... looking for similar condition, nothing falling apart!

    Let me know... thanks!

  4. Roger is correct, he and Adama met after the war. Since the colonies were probably in a state of chaos, it would probably be fairly simple to create Tigh's backstory and service record. Adama was the one who pulled strings to get Tigh "reinstated" into the Colonial fleet.

    Chris

damn it ... i spent all that time at work this morning trying to figure out how Tigh and Adama had been buddies for so long...

I'll go back to my corner now...

  5. Adama never knew Tigh during the first Human-Cylon war. They met for the first time as civilians, on a freighter 20 years after the war. This was revealed in flashback in Season 2.

Like everything else in his head, Tigh's memories of the war are a fabrication, as are his military records from that time period.

I know Tigh has talked about fighting in the first war, and I thought it was along side Adama. Are you sure that neither happened?

  6. OK, i want to run a theory by you guys regarding the FF's timeline: The Tigh we met at the beginning of the series is dead and has been replaced with a skin job created by Cavil in the original Tigh's image.

The timeline below uses X as the start of the series. FF_Tigh is the person known as Tigh that lived on earth 2000 yrs ago, Tigh is the person we meet in Season 1.

    We know the following today:

    X - 2000: FF_Tigh leaves Earth, heading to Colonies.

X - 40: FF arrive at Colonies and end First Cylon war by offering to create skinjobs for the Centurions. Tigh fought in this war with Adama.

    X - 30: Cavil is created

X - 20: Cavil kills the FF including FF_Tigh and boxes them

    X: Colonies are Nuked

X + 2: New Caprica. Tigh is captured and tortured.

Here's where my theory kicks in

X+2: Tigh is not just captured and tortured, but killed. FF_Tigh is resurrected in a body that looks like Tigh, with Tigh's memories overwriting FF_Tigh's own. [Cavil has mentioned that he can read memories directly from the brain and now FF_Tigh can know all the horror of the war that Tigh went through, therefore learning the lesson Cavil wanted to teach the FF].

X+2: The other FF were all on NC as well, therefore Cavil could have done the same thing with them at some point (Tory, Anders, Tyrol, Ellen)

Somehow I think that the head people have to do with the transfer of one person's memories into another's, two sets of memories, one brain. I don't know how this part fits in yet, but the FF timeline can now be reconciled.

  7. My belief that it's Baltar comes from the parallels between his character and the Biblical figure, and the hope that Moore wouldn't have the actors waste so much oxygen on something that didn't go anywhere. I've been wrong before, though (see Grand Unified Cylon Theory).

In the podcast commentary, Moore admits that the only reason there was any dialogue at all about a Type 7 is because early on in the series they said Boomer was a Type 8, and they felt that they had to explain that gap in the numbering.

If the discussion about Daniel was more than just a minor patch, they'll find a way to turn it into a full-fledged plot point, and given Moore's love for Biblical references I think it will turn out to be Baltar.

Baltar has to be something special... that said, it's getting late in the game and they better get to explaining things real soon.

  8. Wow, so Cavill =

major Oedipus Complex. He boned his mom and pulled out his dad's eye.

As for Daniel, I don't understand how you think it's

Baltar. To me it seemed pretty clear that his entire model line was eliminated by Cavill. I could've sworn that's what Ander's said and Ellen went into greater detail on.

i thought about it later and thought that Daniel might be

Lee (and no, i don't have an idea how for now), but Ellen said that Cavil is bad, but can still be redeemed and that her and Daniel were opposites, hence Cavil is jealous of Daniel. It was odd that Roslin spent a scene telling Lee that he's always doing the right thing and Ellen had a scene telling Cavil the opposite. These two disconnected scenes got me thinking that Lee is the opposite of Cavil, therefore he is Daniel. And the first time we met Ellen she was quite smitten with Lee.

All in all though, a very smart episode that definitely needs more than one viewing to absorb.

  9. There's a theory being thrown about...

The dying leader that will lead everyone home is actually Galactica itself, not Roslin. Hence the stress fractures.

Ugh - i've heard this before and i can't stand this theory. Galactica is a ship. Non-sentient as far as we know, unless there is a hybrid tucked away somewhere in the engine room that no one has stumbled across in the 40 years Galactica has been around.

Why can't the dying leader still be Roslin?

  10. the gallactica is held together with paper machee(sp?) made from all the writing they tossed out about the whole cylon story arc of "we have a plan"

while i agree that the whole "we have a plan" thing has been sh!t-canned, the writers have done a great job of putting together a cohesive, continuous story. I think a lot of it is based on the fact that as you go along and make good design decisions (in the context of what major thing happens next to these people), it allows you to cover up your mistakes (the Cylons didn't really seem to have a plan B, plan A = Exterminate!)

This show also seems to have luck on its side. Revelations could have been the last episode of the series, but the writers' strike was canceled in time for us to get these last nine episodes and let them finish the story. Its great to see them not holding anything back - at this point, no one and nothing is safe because the story is just about over. I compare this to how poorly something like Voyager or Enterprise ended and it makes me realize even more how awful those endings were in comparison.

I'll be amazed if Adama and Galactica are still kicking when the final credits roll.

  11. I'm looking for a Wii for the kids and thought I would try here first since I've had good transactions in the past with you folks...

If you've got a system + some games and / or extra controllers you'd be willing to sell let me know.

I'm willing to spend around $300.

  12. Good points... however, i just can't see anyone on the baseship being the fifth:

Baltar: Too obvious and he *is* the definition of an imperfect, selfish human.

Roslyn: Personally, I think that would be way too cheeky for the writers to try and pull off... oh look, here's the last cylon AND she's been in charge of humanity for the last 3 yrs!

Helo: please no... less Helo is good Helo.

Note that all three are also in the last supper pic and Moore has said that the last cyclon is not in this pic.

All others on the baseship: none have done anything significant in 3+ yrs. It would be offensive to drop one of these folks into our lap as the fifth.

Dualla is also missing from the last supper pic and would be sitting between Tigh and Lee... she spent the last episode with one or both. I still think its her and she's been "aware" of her true self for a long time (back when the centurions boarded galactica).

Something else that's been bugging me about her: back on New Caprica, she spotted the Cyclon fleet on Dradis and Lee asked her how she could see anything on the screen. Is it possible that she sensed them?

D'anna was boxed long after the exodus from New Caprica, when all of the survivors from the human race were consolidated into one group again. Also, she would have no way of knowing if any of the final five cylons that were revealed to her were killed during the time she was boxed.

As shown by her concern during the standoff with Lee, I think this was too important to her to lie about. When she said that there were only four in the fleet, she meant it, which means that either 1) she was aware that the fifth was on the base star with her, or 2) there's something extra-special about the fifth (like they're being kept in some other storage facility that's never been mentioned or they exist as something non-corporeal or something else).

Option #2 is much less satisfying. I don't like it when writers keep dumping in additional backstory to delay revelations that they've been promising. "Oh, yeah, what we didn't tell you is that there's something even _more_ different about that final cylon, because they can exist in vacuum and it's just been walking around on Galactica's hull for three years."

So, my top three candidates as of now:

    - Baltar

    - Roslyn (D'anna never really recanted what she said about her being a cylon.)

    - The base star's Hybrid (this one would really be out of left field)

  13. It may be the four that are activated? Or she may not know that D is still alive... each of the other four were on New Caprica, but D was not, so asking if D is still alive would give her identity away.

She could've also been lying... damn show makes me think too much :)

How? If that was the case, D'anna would have said that there were five in the fleet, not four.
  14. The Final Cylon was not only not in the "Last Supper" picture (which Moore has stated more than once, now), but they were also not in the Colonial fleet (per 3's dialog) when the pilots, the President, and Baltar were being held hostage. Roslyn and Baltar are both in the picture, so that means its either one of the pilots, someone we last saw in the 12 Colonies in the mini, or someone we haven't seen yet.

Reading the reactions from some of the cast when they were told who the Final Cylon was, I am guessing its someone we would never guess. They all seemed to be expecting someone bigger, more prominent.

    Anywho, just my 2 cents.

    It's got to be Dualla...

    1. She's been there since the beginning;

    2a. She's made a habit of associating herself with people in power (Billy, Lee, Bill) She kissed Billy the same way the Six kissed the guy at the meeting in the Mini series - it always bugged me;

2b. She's made a habit of being involved with important events: getting adama to go back to Kobol; rigging the election for Roslin; being there when Athena got Hera from Natalie; even when she disappeared for a couple of episodes after divorcing Lee, she shows up in the CIC and hanging around Tigh, is she a mini-XO now?

    3. Back in season 2 when the centurions boarded Galactica, they shot everyone they ran into except D, same thing happened to Anders;

    4. Leoeben told Roslin that "Adama is a Cyclon", technically, D was an Adama, so he wasn't lying;

    5. 1 of the known final 4 is a woman, they need to even it out a bit ;);

    6. Her name - Dual-la. She's more than she seems.

    7. D'anna blew her off during her report on Galactica. Maybe she's apologized at the temple when she realized that she had one of the final five right there and blew her off.

    Am I stretching?

  15. I'm looking for an MP Starscream, prefer the walmart version, but i'll take a Takara one as well...

here's what i'm willing to do:

I'll pay up to $45 for a loose Walmart MP (preferred)

I'll trade for a MIB VF-0S for a MIB Takara version.

I've got other stuff to trade for a MIB Walmart MP, let me know what you are looking for but i've got a range of MISB, MIB and loose TF's and macross stuff...

    Thanks,

    Peter
