Thanks Swoosh for all the lovely pics! Can't wait to get my hands on mine....

Valks are great if you want little engineering marvels. HT is great if you want little people. Neither are toys.
Love this quote, Matt. Pretty much sum it all up.
Just love how Bandai managed to put all those gimmick in the Durandal. QC issues aside, I trust I really gonna enjoy playing with this example of 'little engineering marvel '.
-
owh, seems like the Durandal is taller than the Lucifer...
-
All this means I have to start saving and buying all over again! Not really a complaint....I'm already resigned to the life of a fanboy...
-
The answer is related to how much you like your "Valkirie"
Off topic:
Suddenly it hits me; Valk is the abbreviation of VF-1 Valkyrie right? So...shouldn't VF25 Messiah be called Messi and VF27 Lucifer called Luci? And the YF29 Durandal as Durie?

Sweet pic charger69! Mine just got shipped.....now, like someone said earlier, the waiting game begins...plus, I'm praying the customs is a little lenient next week since the shipment value went just over the treshhold.
Just one question; is the box the same quality like previous DX or better this time?

Just got my AmiAmi payment request.
unfortunately, SAL is not an option.....Amiami charge me Y3000 for EMS, yikes!
Ah well, I wanted it so bad, so it's okay........*facepalm
-
Patience guys amiami will come through. I'm sure they're hard at work calculating and tallying up all of the ways possible to rape our wallets on shipping. I'll expect my YF-29 and poster within a week or so within a giant doghouse size box where I'll celebrate in triumph by spending 20 minutes to cut the box down just so it could fit in my garbage pale.
hahah...I know, I know...it's just me falling into my fanboyism. I opt for SAL, so even if I pay the invoice today, I still am going to have to wait for another two weeks for it to arrive.
To those who are going to receive their Durandals next week, I envy you!
-
why is my invoice is not yet in my email? Hope they did not miss my order....
shooting an enquiry to Amiami now.
-
Head's up MWers
Anime Export just started sending email invoices that they have it in-stock, (for those that pre-ordered0 asking for shipping options/payments.
Its finally here, lol. Just as matter of time for reviews and pics.
Oh my, been waiting for this news!
My wallet gonna get thin real quick!
-
AmiAmi opened up the preorder for the YF-29 again.
You better be quick folks...I'm not sure how long this is gonna be open.
now it is 'Temporary Sold Out'.....that was fast!
I hope my pals managed to PO on time.

Received mine today! From Hongkong to Malaysia only takes three days via Speedpost! No visible defects so far. Thanks HKCollectibles!
*This is a paid advertisement........jk!
It's lunch time now in my office, time to 'zoom-zoom'!

Watched the movie last evening with a friend, and I can say it's money well spent! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole show, cause I make it a point, whenever I'm watching an action flick, especially if it involves superheroes, leave all logic behind! Just sit back, absorb the show, and if it's a good or bad movie, you will just know.
And I think I also spotted
Scott Summers
cameo in the Cerebro sequence.

My friend ordered thru HKCollectibles, received in just three working days!
Mine haven't harrived yet since I paid the invoice a bit later...heh.
-
that's what she said!
forgive me.....just could not help it.....
-
Since I use my flexi stands only during exhibitions, my valks have been spared......I'm taking cue from you guys and not use it for permanent display.
But I will still be buying these stands due to their flexibility and ease of handling during exhibitions and roadshows.
-
Just received an email from HKCollectibles, VF-X finally in stock, hurrah!
Just have to wait for the final invoice......
-
welcome back graham! I was suprised too when this topic was suddenly locked...like maybe this info was not supposed to be released to the general masses.
I'm looking forward to pics of the prototypes. If the VF-19 Kai gives indication of Yamato's effort from now on, I am extremely optimistic...
-
I voted no. Enough VF-1 already, I want to see new mechs! VF-0D!
-
Argh. You know, if these euphemisms/irresistible-opportunities-for-jokes continue I know I'll have an exploding head before the toy even comes out.
lol'ed at this!
btw, I agree with Isamu. If I'm going to be nitpicking with this vf19 kai, I would be better off waiting for a more 'eye-pleasing' variant to come out. I'm not a completist, so I can afford to wait this one out.
Again, it's just about personal preferences.

Still haven't bought any display cabinet yet, so I just put part of my collection in open display:
others are still in their respective boxes..

@raptormesh: I meant that it can hold its standing mode, but quite precariously. Change the angle of the stance a bit, or try to move the torso around, the figure will just fall backwards on its knees.
Unfortunately I dun have any other vf21/22 to compare with.

Hi, I'm not sure whether I've asked this before, so I'll just ask to be on the safe side.
It's about my Max VF-22; is it normal in battroid mode, the figure tends to fall backward at the knees? The ratchet joint is there, it's just that the knee joints cannot really hold any extreme poses without falling backwards.
-
For me personally, I have nothing against VF-25's design as a mech. It's just the design as a toy that frustates me, especially in the articulation department. Feels as though Bandai just wanna milk money ASAP from loyal Macross fans while the hype is hot, and while the license is theirs, of course .
But this YF-29...dunno, seems like much thought have been put into the design. And looking at the latest mag scan, they even highlight the improvement made on the landing gears, showing that finally, somebody inside Bandai, really listens!
