  1. Valks are great if you want little engineering marvels. HT is great if you want little people. Neither are toys.

Love this quote, Matt. Pretty much sum it all up. B))

Just love how Bandai managed to put all those gimmick in the Durandal. QC issues aside, I trust I really gonna enjoy playing with this example of 'little engineering marvel '.

  2. Patience guys amiami will come through. I'm sure they're hard at work calculating and tallying up all of the ways possible to rape our wallets on shipping. :) I'll expect my YF-29 and poster within a week or so within a giant doghouse size box where I'll celebrate in triumph by spending 20 minutes to cut the box down just so it could fit in my garbage pale.

hahah...I know, I know...it's just me falling into my fanboyism. I opt for SAL, so even if I pay the invoice today, I still am going to have to wait for another two weeks for it to arrive.

To those who are going to receive their Durandals next week, I envy you! :p

  3. Watched the movie last evening with a friend, and I can say it's money well spent! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole show, cause I make it a point, whenever I'm watching an action flick, especially if it involves superheroes, leave all logic behind! Just sit back, absorb the show, and if it's a good or bad movie, you will just know.

And I think I also spotted

    Scott Summers

    cameo in the Cerebro sequence.

  4. Since I use my flexi stands only during exhibitions, my valks have been spared......I'm taking cue from you guys and not use it for permanent display.

But I will still be buying these stands due to their flexibility and ease of handling during exhibitions and roadshows. B))

  5. Argh. You know, if these euphemisms/irresistible-opportunities-for-jokes continue I know I'll have an exploding head before the toy even comes out. :p

    lol'ed at this! :D

btw, I agree with Isamu. If I'm going to be nitpicking with this vf19 kai, I would be better off waiting for a more 'eye-pleasing' variant to come out. I'm not a completist, so I can afford to wait this one out.

Again, it's just about personal preferences.

  6. @raptormesh: I meant that it can hold its standing mode, but quite precariously. Change the angle of the stance a bit, or try to move the torso around, the figure will just fall backwards on its knees.

Unfortunately I dun have any other vf21/22 to compare with.

  7. For me personally, I have nothing against VF-25's design as a mech. It's just the design as a toy that frustates me, especially in the articulation department. Feels as though Bandai just wanna milk money ASAP from loyal Macross fans while the hype is hot, and while the license is theirs, of course ;) .

But this YF-29...dunno, seems like much thought have been put into the design. And looking at the latest mag scan, they even highlight the improvement made on the landing gears, showing that finally, somebody inside Bandai, really listens!
