  1. There are part in there form Valk kits, Mospeadas, Orguss and Dougram, the forward bulkhead is from Darth Vader's TIE fighter though its barely visible. There bits from a Cylon Basestar too as well as various bits of 1/35 scale machineguns.

  2. When my local model shop first started stocking Macross kits I was instantly addicted, I saw some in the window as I passed during my lunch break and went in and bought 7 or 8, as many as I could affords with the money I had with me.

  3. When I built these I knew nothing about them other than what I could glean from the few English words on the boxes, it would be another 10 years before I actually got to see any of the Macross anime.

  4. Its now a good 20 years since I built these kits, they were among the very first Japanese kits I ever bought and were my introduction not only to Macross but to anime in general. While many of my earlier works have deteriorated almost as much as me over the last 2 decades, these battlepods are still in pretty good shape so I decided to take some pictures before anything happened to change that.

  5. Looking really good Rod, great detailing on the hatch.

Mechmaster how about a shot from farther away please?

I'm hoping to get time this weekend to take a few photos of this kit and my Glaug kit too, I'll probably post them in the Model Kit section as that would be more appropriate than this thread.

Edit: photos of my battlepod kits are now posted in the model Kits section...

  6. My neighbor blew up his wheelie bin last week after watching Dr WHO. H was drunk and had an extra skybird rocket. Poor brown bin jumped 5 feet off the ground before exploding. :o:D Funniest thing ever.

Wow! I hope he didn't get drunk again this weekend, I should certainly hate to be a fat politician canvassing in his neighbourhood if he did.:lol:

You've got brown wheelie bins? We get 1 green and 1 blue one around here. I don't think any have been blown up, but there are usually a few floating down the river.

  7. garbage can (sorry - rubbish bin).

Actually old chap we tend to call them wheelie bins these days, though you are quite right in that we put rubbish in them rather than garbage or trash.:lol::lol::lol:

Nice to see that its the States suffering alien hostility in next week's episode, Dr Who's villains nearly always seem to pick on us Brits. I suppose that after wrecking Big Ben and causing 10 Downing Street to be blown up in the last couple of episodes, the ETs probably figure there is not much more they could do to us.
