  1. AFAIK, the legs are fixed.

Looks like the front landing gear on the Focker VF-1S Strike is collapsing......LOL!

Wonder what the material is, ABS, diecast, hard PVC? My bet is on hard PVC.

Hope they hold together well and don't have parts falling off all the time!

Hikaru's bird has a single wheeled front landing gear also...

And the PG word in below text is related to PG Hyakushiki (Type 100) I guess, maybe the modeler use some of PG parts to customize his Valk.

  2. I've had a hand on the NDS play with the cute Nintendog, but it just doesn't impress me much, and I don't like the "plastic feeling" it gave me. Since I already have DC and PS2, I can't afford one more system in this old age(27), so I gonna say no on NDS.

Now I'm very satisfied with my new PSP, playing sports games, racing, RPGs, music and MP4 movies, even reading txts on it. Sony did a fantastic job on the portable system, always, just like their Walkman.

I found GBASP,GBM and NDS are very popular in girls and young ladies here, and they even got PSP in the same time, really crazy shopping, they don't care about how many games they want on one system, just grab all the little nice looking machines in front of them!

  3. I'm looking for a website in English, with many Macross AND Robotech kits box cover and side art. It also has Patlabor and Legioss/Mospeada kits.

It should be in my Favourate, but I just can't locate it. Can any MWer here help me to find out? Thanks.

  4. I wanna know who is who?

    (1/72?)

I know FM's SW kit is the best in 72 scale, but my target is a bigger one, 1/48 is good, could be displayed next to my Yammie Valks. A little tough or lack of detail is not that big problem to me.

Any comments on those kits are welcomed, reviews, price advices, thanks!

  5. since the VF-1 is designed for space it has retro thrusters so would it even need a tailhook? I would think it could stop itself.

I would think that the small retro-thrusters located on the sides of the intakes would not be powerful enough to stop the VF-1 in a carrier landing in fighter mode.

Of course as others have said, why not just land in Gerwalk mode?

    Graham

I strongly think a traditional ONE centered tail hook is the final solution for landing on deck(in atmosphere). At least VF-1 doesn't maneuver like a Yukikaze Mave (ep4 especially), right?

Two hooks system will tear off one leg while one of the hook missing the stop wire.

  6. we still might have hope...i'm sure BW will still release a Macross Zero movie...and hopefully that will revive the Macross franchise enough for Bandai or another toy company (aside from Yamato) to produce high quality Macross toys or model kits...

I hope too. Do you remember what happened after the Movie of Patlabor: Wasted Thirteen----The all new 1/35 MG Patlabor series was born! So let's just cross our fingers~ :p

  7. Although there are still some 1/55 series in the market, no anything really new from Bandai since...when?

I don't know how the Bigwest copyright system run, if Yamato keeps poping items up, then Bandai can't get a hand in? Or just becoz those very-well-selling Gundamn thing, so Bandai doesn't want to make any new other toys?

I'm not that extreme, but a toy market without Bandai's competition is not good IMHO :(
