  1. I think that I will finally fix my three VF-1 thanks to shapeways.
  2. Yamato 'Engineers' should be ashamed of themselves. How many cents they saved making this piece of junk plastic??? Everybody should stop buying Valkyries until they will re-engineer this piece. Thanks, Rey
  3. I have used HLJ with EMS. It's fast and the customer service outstanding. The VF1-A I believe it's still on sale. You can buy the super parts extra to save some money.
  4. The surgery was successfully completed without problems. YES, the shoulder is not broken anymore.......... at least for now........................................
  5. Saturday I got the replacement part for the broken shoulder from HLJ. They sent me a really big package where inside I have found this little jewel: I got a brand new arm with attached shoulder (I have disassembled the arm in pieces before taking the picture just you know). The custom shoulder project was unfortunately canceled
  6. I bought the following items during the last months from HLJ: 1x YMT00085 VF-1S Strike Valkyrie Hikaru Ichijo with Super & Strike Parts 2x YMT00094 VF-1A Hikaru Ichijo Out of the box only one of these Valkyries had the shoulder broken (it was the YMT00094). Not a big deal. HLJ sent me a shoulder replacement part for free. I should get the new shoulder next week I think. Thanks, Rey
  7. Latest news from HLJ. Today I got the following notice in the email: ".......... This message is to let you know that the following merchandise has been shipped to you from HobbyLink Japan. Shipping Method: SAL - Small Pac Click here for an estimate of shipping times Item Code Item Name Quantity Price Extended Price YMTPARTS Yamato Parts 1 0 0 Merchandise Total: 0 Total: 0 .........." Well.. HLJ simply ROCKS!!!!!!
  8. I just sent a picture of the broken hinge (within 10 days of delivery) so I am hoping to receive the hinge or hinge+arm piece. From the HLJ policy page: "If a return becomes necessary due to a mistake in shipping, shipping damage or a defect in the product, we will compensate you for the shipping charges to return the item to Japan if you ship the item as directed by us. All claims for returns or refunds due to shipping damage or manufacturing defects must be made within 10 days of its delivery to you." [...] "HobbyLink Japan is committed to customer service and will promptly address any customer claims of shipping errors, damage, defects, missing items, etc. if we are contacted within 10 days of delivery at trouble@hlj.com."
  9. Last update from HLJ: "We have received your parts request and are processing it now. As soon as we hear anything back from the manufacturer, we will pass that information along to you and/or ship your parts." I am hoping that Yamato will send the broken part soon.... Rey
  10. Today I got an email from HLJ. It looks like my 'case' about the broken shoulder was passed to the HLJ parts department.
  11. My first order this year was a 1/60 VF-1S Strike Valkyrie Hikaru with fast pack (Yamato code: 085, Release date: December 2008, HLJ catalog: http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00085). This model impressed me on how hard it was to transform and move the different pieces. I didn't see any breakage in the shoulder, and everything give me the impression of being more solid than the 1/60 VF-1A (Yamato code: 094, Release date: September 2008, HLJ catalog: http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00094. From my personal opinion I would say that Yamato with December 2008 release fixed all the problems of September 2008 release.
  12. I just want to enjoy my VF-1A withouth having to worry when I move/touch the shoulders. I may try to build something that will competently replace the piece..... I don't know. Another user in this forum posted a really interesting solution for fixing the breakage area. Here the picture and associated thread: from eugimon: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...mp;#entry744414 Btw, I am still waiting for HLJ reply. The store now looks close due to the golden week....
  13. That looks like a metallic piece. Where did you get that? Do you have a guide on how to put that?
  14. I am attaching a picture for the Vf-1A 1/60 v.2 breakage area Before doing anything I will wait for HLJ reply.
  15. My broken piece is the shoulder. I already opened a thread in the main section: >> http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=29866 For any idea or suggestion, please post there. Again a picture taken from other forum. Thanks, Rey
  16. I think my model should be part of the list. What do you think ? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Rey77 Thanks, Roberto
  17. Yesterday, I got my new Yamato VF-1A 1/60v2. Immediately out of the box I noticed a crack in the shoulder. What should I do? Any other person out there with the same problem? Has anybody successfully repaired the broken shoulder? It would be really nice to substitute the broken piece with something else. A metallic piece will be great. Any idea? I am attaching a picture of the broken shoulder: I have also sent a message to HLJ, hoping the best. Thanks for any help, Rey
I was already thinking about some changes. In the next release I will add the weapons, the FastPack and some details on the arms/hands and retractable gears (the doors are missing right now). I hope to find the time, very difficult thing....... Pippo
  19. yes, my mystake. I will build a new head for the next release. VF-1S (four head lasers) Single-place fighter VF-1A (one head laser) Single-place fighter
  20. yes, Lego 4953 the Fast Flyers. One of my favourite Lego sets ever. It looks like a real F14. I used lots of pieces from lots of models. Mostly from the new StarWars models and a couple of Exo-force models for some special pieces (yes the new Technic/Bionicle hinges, are awesome). My model was inspired to another creation also available on the BrickShelf website from xman3 (were step-by-step instructions are available) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=116907 Pippo
  21. Hi guys, I finally finished my Macross - VF-1A Valkyrie model, all done with pure LEGO bricks. If you want to check it out go to this link: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Rey77 Any comments is welcomed. Thanks, Pippo Impellizzeri (Rey77)
