That's a pretty fair price for an original kit. I haven't seen one for sale in ages!
FYI, it's a bit different from the Monocraft version of the kit. The cockpit of the Tread is missing, so you can only build it as the linked Legioss and Tread. The Monocraft can only be built separated. And it comes with decals, unlike the Monocraft. So to me, this is the version to get.

Can't wait to get my copy!
That AEW would definitely be cool to have a kit of. I really like that variant.
-
Very cool!! I would have liked to see Hasegawa make it instead, but seeing a 1/72 VF-4 injection kit finally being made is incredible. I'll be in for at least two of them.
As for the article with the Y6800 price, it looks to me like it's for the the old Musasiya resin kit. Its original price was also 6800

Which VF-4 kit?
-
And Sv-262 Drakken III!
-
It has a name! VF-31 Sigfried!
-
Looking good!
Please share the .STL files when you're done. I'm going to want to print one of my own!
-
No, Studio Half-Eye never made any VF-1 kits.
Do you have pics of that kit? I'm not familiar with any resin transformable VF-1s that are specifically Max types. But your description reminds me of Yellow Submarine's 1/100 VF-1 parts-former
-
Yes I meant resin.
I think I heard you mentioned it on the Macross Podcast on scale models as one of your grail items that you found.
That was you right? Amazing podcast!!!!
Yes, the Speaker Podcast crew were nice enough to have me on the podcast when I was visiting Japan for Wonderfest last year. They're a great bunch of guys!

Except I wouldnt know how to build a vinyl kit to a good level.
Is that the mythical General Products Excellion?
I have seen cool scratch builds.
But I settled on the Kotobukiya Coin Excellion figure. Very nice finish for a trading figure.
Yep, it's the General Products resin kit (not vinyl). It took me something like 10 years to find it.
And yes, the Kotobukiya excelion is really good! Too small for any crazy mods, tho.

Vacation time is approved, and flights have been booked! I'll be there!

Thanks for posting the partial translation! That's one story I've been wanting to be able to read for years.
And I can totally see why it's taken so long. That must be tedious as hell to translate! So thanks again!

Wow, I wasn't expecting to see another re-release of them. Too bad the other three kits in the series aren't getting re-released also
They're resin kits, with some cast metal parts. And the Supersylph also has some brass photo-etched parts. They're great kits, but not for beginners.
-
Now I'm really curious to see some more photos, especially of the parts breakdown.
-
Very, very cool! This is a kit I've been wanting to see for quite a long time. I just ordered two of em.
Weird that they made it a limited edition, though. This is one kit I want to see available for years!
-
Oh, that was the guy!
I got a couple of their kits at WF last summer. I got their Argenix (the ship from Macross M3) and the TV version SDF-2. Neat kits, but I wish the casting quality was a bit better.
-
Very cool!
If you need anything printed on a Makerbot (even if it's just test prints), send me a PM
-
I think I'll just make my own
Um, yes. Do that.
Please.

I gave up on waiting for HLJ and ordered a couple from Amazon. Not gonna take the chance of missing this one!
And $14 for shipping on two copies isn't bad, anyway.
-
Sweet! I'm hoping HLJ will be carrying it tho, so I can save on shipping.
-
I believe you got them from someone else when they were recasting some stuff, I don't recall the exact circumstances, but I DID get them from you... sometime around 2002-2003
Oh, I don't doubt it, I just don't remember it. But when you've bought and sold as many models as I have, these things happen

Yea, I'm afraid another 1/72 would be a tough sell. The Moscato version has been around for years, and it's still in production.
But one scaled to the Yamato 1/60 toys would be pretty badass!
