only time I ever got a toy for a present is one of my anime buddies knew I was watchin Berserk and how much I liked it, they got me a black knight guts figure which I think is very cool. all my other friends don't care for toys and would be way too confused if they tried to get me something.

my first dvd player was on my computer from about 3 of 4 years ago. I've now got 4 other DVD players that play all my DVDs regioned or not. Do I really give a sheet about the PS2 being able to play DVDs? uh...NO!

tho if it does come down to $99, I might consider buying it.

as far as the picture size goes, you should try and change the pixels of it.

hmm, I'm not too impressed by the 1/60 version...after the released the latter parts of the 1/60 series, I think I'm losing hope for that scale. please bring on the 1/48s!!

and yah, that Gattsu figure looks awesome...if it is a figure...but $200?? he better be wearing real metal armor with a die-cast Dragon Slayer(or whatever his sword is called)...and arm cannon that shoots BBs at 700fps.

wow, that has got to be one of the ugliest pieces of junk I've seen in a long time. why does an eva need armor anyway? just find some way to let it go kick ass crazy all the time and you can't lose! then you can just eat all your enemies and poop them out for NERV to clean up.

interesting custom...i kinda like the flashy purple and silver.

when I got my Sauron fig from Toy Biz and broke the hand off, I contacted the company and they said "send it in, we'll give you a new one...and to make up for the shippin, we'll throw in a little extra" and of course, they were true to their word...brand new figure...plus an extra figure for the trouble. granted it's not a $120 figure, but THAT should be how companies act if they like repeat customers.

I haven't had many problems with my Yamato's but they definitely can learn something in the customer care dept.

and if anybody says any smack about Monkey-N...you just better be grateful that there's a guy in Jpn that's even nice enough to try and take the order with Yamato.

I saw this done in person...and I personally didn't like it all that much. just looked wierd. but yah...I'd love to see someone paint their fast packs low viz colors.

I would never sell anything in my collection unless I had doubles or triples of...but that's just me. and since a lot of my stuff are all singles...guess they're going with me to the grave.

nope, I'm saving up for Mammoth(ski resort in CA) and Vegas(needs no explanation). friend rented a cabin up in Mammoth for December...and a week later, I'm gonna hit the city of sin for some gamblin and boozin!

I'll probably start saving when HLJ puts up their pre-order.

my frist valk was a Takatoku/Matsushiro vf-1j. I put both companies because I really don't know which one it actually is. I'm leaning more towards the Matsushiro because from what I hear, if the landing gear switches are black and the front landing gear is prone to breakage = Matsushiro. but even if it is a Matsushiro, it still doesn't explain why the stripes on my valk are not painted but stickers. It still stands proudly in my collection...though yellowed and tattered...it's one of the few things I brought with me when I immigrated to the US and it will probably be the last thing I sell if I had to sell my collection...which I hope is never.

yah, I'd def like to see a second season of that.

Fav movies: The Godfather series...yes even 3 dammit...sucks the way it ended, but the story needed to come full circle somehow.

I actually read the book before seeing all of Godfather 1. I remember seeing bits of it as a kid, but it never interested me when I was young. when I read the book and got to the part where Santino get's muffed up good...I remember saying to myself...well, i can't repeat exactly what I said...but it went along the lines of "you ... bastards, you're all gonna ... pay for that ... you ... ...!"

I just love how bad things happen to the family, but in the end those who tried to screw the Corleones all end up the same way...full of holes.

Rob, were you able to find out if 1/60 millia parts could be ordered? I need part BP5. also if you're taking more orders, I'd like 2 n2's and 2 n3's for 1/48 max. thanks.

i put 1/60 because I dont' think yamato will make a 1/48 monster...but then again maybe they will.

plus since destroid are non-transforming...i think 1/60 will be plenty big to give them good detail.

anyway...

perfect blue is a good choice...

macross plus doesn't really have any tie ins with macross TV...it'd be good to show, especially the movie version.

escaflowne was pretty good...but could be confusing if you don't watch the series.

if there into the love/comedy kinda thing, love hinda x-mas or spring specials are pretty good, but they'd need to watch the series sorta to know what's going on.

patlabor 3 is pretty good...

metropolis looks freakin awesome but story is so so...

ah my goddess the movie...i think it was a movie...that was pretty good too.

blood was pretty kick ass, lots of action and it's mostly in english so you dont' have to read too many subs...

But I guess I'd show a movie that doesn't require background knowledge of the characters and something not too boring or confusing(to me Jin-roh was kinda slow, tried to watch it twice...both times I fell a sleep).

if you like gundam...char's counterattack is pretty decent...or stardust memories.

I'd have a few choices for my guests to choose from tho...not everybody likes the same thing but hopefully they can agree on at least a couple titles.

gotta edit in: Kenshin Trush and Betrayal...freakin awesome...I'd show that if not too many ppl have seen it.
