  1. It certainly looks like gumby's got a fantastic head-start on that project, and I think that he's got a pretty good handle on it. Is this something that will be offered commercially at some point?

My only concern would be in the full use of resin and the possibility of bending or sagging over time, particularly because of the size and mass of the upper torso compared to the legs. That's why I had contemplated having some metal legs at the very least.

Yes, I still have the plans. They would likely need to be updated though; there was only limited visual reference available at the time.

wouldn't an easy solution just to be to put some metal rods in the leg parts as you recast it?

  2. what is thanatos from? never seen that character before.

I picked up the special 5 bronze figure set cuz it was $50 less than retail...I would have gladly paid full price if they used the new sculpted heads!! argh I dont' understand why bandai didn't do that...I'll bet the sales of this set woulda doubled if they did.

  3. ya, I'm trying to secure a gold seiya...I dont' mind it's that price...and it is because it's plated in real gold i think. that piece is going to be awesome!

also, did anybody get the 5 pack of bronze saints? I would have definitely picked that up if they had the newer head sculpts...but now I'm not so sure about it.

  4. my friend went to HK and I had an order filled with her heheh. she brought back for me mizar sid, siren sorrento, seadragon kanon, and surplice shion. freakin awesome all of them! best part was these are probably the cheapest ones I've ever gotten, HK prices, plus 10% off, plus no shipping cost! man, i need more friend that go to HK!

  5. i went today to pick up a couple things...didn't shop around tho...might go again wednesday but not sure. still trying to get me some bacara busts from baltimore convention.

tsinc does have a store...or at least they did like 6 or 7 years ago. it should be on their website. I don't like them most times but have bought a couple things from them from time to time...usually things that i find are cheap...otherwise i find there prices to be kinda high...and once something gets rare, they skyrocket the price

  6. man, way behind as usual...need a reliable source that carries the HK ver with plate! I just picked up final ikki, great for the most part but the shoulder armor sticks up too high...and i think his feathers on his back are too short...other than that, very nice figure.

if you guys know where to get seadragon hk w/ plate, for less than $65 shipped to the US, please let me know.

  7. i thought the same thing but it was a model displayed with the other 1/144s.

IIRC, i believe it was graham's.

AFAIK, there were only 8 in total....

    VF-1A Hikaru

    VF-1S Focker

    VF-1J Max

    VF-1J Miria

    YF-19

    YF-19 Bronze (limited event edition)

    YF-19A blue (video game edition)

    YF-21

the only one i'm missing is the bronze version. if i see it around(and its cheap)i'll pick it up but they are few and far between. i really wish doyusha finished ths line but their $40 price tag was a bit much to swallow for the size.

ya, then my collection is still complete. these were very cool for what they were before the chara works came out...price was a bit high, but I don't think I paid that much for any of them except the bronze 19...and I believe i sold a yf-19 for $80 a couple years ago.
