They should just snap on. On the shoulders there are square holes where you push in the pegs on the shoulder armor. Mine took a liitle bit of force to go in the first time, but don't over do it, it shouldn't take that much pressure to go in.

Considering Graham's usuall comment, Yamatos previous 1/72 YF-21, the current 1/60 YF-19....
I have little doubt that they will release a 1/60 YF-21.
BUT WHEN?????????

ugh, this "QC" term is driving me nuts. Every time I read a post that quotes Yamato's "QC" issues I cringe, and usually just let it go. But I think I need to say something, even if it doesn't help.
When people quote the Yamato "QC" issues we all know what it's referring to. My issue is that 90% of the problems are not QC problems, but design flaws and I think a general misunderstanding is propegating this term.
QC stans for Quality Control, a process used during production to ensure that what's being produced on the assembly line matches the product design.
a QC issue would be:
- two left arms on a valk
- magnets put in backwards causing fast packs to repel instead of attract
- screws tightened too much causing stress marks
- too little glue used to hold a part in place
The Design Flaws are what are common to all valks and what most have complaints about, but we keep calling them "QC" problems.
Design Flaws:
- YF-19 shoulder gap
- YF-19 neck hinge fitting improperly causing it to stress/ break
- VF-0 Shoulder cracking because the material was too weak
- YF-19 gun pod mis-aligned
- YF-19 wheels not extending all the way out
Idealy Yamato will check what is produced from their final molds before they run however many valks from them, and redo the molds if a design flaw is found. But in the past they havn't been that careful and usually end up fixing a mold only for the second runs.
Anyway, I've said all I want to on this. Back to the SV-51
I'm hopeful that Yamato has done a more thorough job of checking the final products for design flaws, but I won't be shocked if they turn up. It might be a product of them being unfamiliar with using CAD to design molds. The first Valk they designed in CAD was the yf-19, wich had the most flaws by far, and this is the first truely new valk the've produced since. Hopefull they put what they learned from the 19 into the SV-51 to keep the issues to a minimum. But who knows. I have mine on preorder still, and I don't think I'll cancel it.

I refuse to vote. this kind of conversation has been played out in every Yamato thread on the board. Can't we find a new debate?

We at Macrossworld don't know crap! We're just really good at speculating... but at the end of the day all these opinions don't mean poo cuz there's no one here to say who's right or who's wrong on any account.
Hey >EXO<,
Can I use this quote in my sig?

I don't know if this has been said yet but it looks like the SV-51 Nora will be the next valk released after the M/M re-release. There's a cgi image now on the Yamato main page, can anyone translate?
Babel Fish Translation:

Back on topic.
This ebay seller has the release date set in August. The last info I had stated July.
Graham, do you have any updates?
The release date is in late July. The seller probably lists August because they have to wait for the SV-51 to be shipped to them, then they have to ship to whoever buys it. So it's a longer turn around time.

Looks pretty good; so I take back anything negative I might've said. Terminator girl is defintely a hottie!
Thats the crazy girl from the Serenity movie (Firefly for TV) and had some good fight scenes. She looks like she really knows how to fight, not like she was just trained for movie scenes. And yes she is a hottie...

Live action Gummi Bears...

I'd buy that if I could afford it. But I think my other half would insist I sell my current bike.

You should be shot regardless
Can't argue, I think I deserve it...

Earth!
Fire!
Wind!
Water!
Heart!
GO PLANET!
With your powers combined I am Captain Planet!
Captain Planet, he's our hero,
Gonna take pollution down to zero,
He's our powers magnified,
And he's fighting on the planet side
Captain Planet, he's our hero,
Gonna take pollution down to zero,
Gonna help him put us under,
Bad guys who like to loot and plunder
"You'll pay for this Captain Planet!"
(chanting)
We're the planeteers,
You can be one too!
'Cause saving our planet is the thing to do,
Looting and polluting is not the way,
Hear what Captain Planet has to say:
"THE POWER IS YOURS!!"
Just so you know, I googled the lyrics. I'm not totally insane

And they've already made a doom movie and AVP is getting a sequel. Somtimes these things can suprise you and be better than they have any right to be. Most of the time they don't. At least they havn't announced a robocop vs terminator movie.
To be fair AVP had great potential for being a really good movie once upon a time. When it was originally pitched it rather accuratly followed the original AVP comic story (those who have read it know how good it was), being set in the time of the original alien(s) movie(s). But stupid execs wouldn't get behind it unless it was set in modern time, on earth, and was pg-13. All bad changes that really killed it for me. From what I've read about AVP2 it's not even directly connected to the first movie... just bad...
I refuse to even comment on Doom...
Sorry guys, this one's my fault. I made a joke about a live action Thundercats movie the other day, and accidentally put the idea out into the universe...
I curse your existance to the bowels of hell for this...

I came across this while I was digging throught the web for something else.
http://www.twitchfilm.net/archives/010319.html
aparently Warner Brothers is actually making a Thundercats live action movie. Thats all I know aside from the churning in my gut over the concept of this...

still not even a scrap about a YF-21... [:CRIES]

Yup, that's what I thought you were talking about. They don't "snap" in place, they just have little groves that hold them in place under pressure. It looks like you have them in the correct postition for Battroid mode.
-
I finally did my first transformation of VF-1J. Was really afraid of snapping off the arms and the screws the arms held onto.
A few questions....
1) What is that little white piece located on the rear center wing that looks like an antenna for?
2) Once in Battroid mode, the legs are attached to the cockpit snapped in, but I can't get the back part of the chest piece to snap into the 2 pieces that fold out(the 2 pieces that open like a door where you can see the wings move). Is that supposed to snap in?
3) What is the purpose of the part inside the nosecone that is movable?
Offtopic
4) I have the Blue GBP Armor(MIB), are the pieces snap on or magnetic?
1) Not sure what you're referring to, can you provide an pic?
2)if it's the piecies I'm thinking of the're should be two little holes they fit into, but they don't "snap" into place, just kind of hold there. Again a pic would help.
3)Just detailing. I believe this is the radar assembly.
4) No idea, don't have one yet ( but I think it's snap together)

No one should panic about this. I've dealt with HLJ for a long time (10 years) and I know their MO pretty well.
Max started out as a July Restock then went to a Sept Restock and has now graduated to a Future Release at HLJ.
Waiting for the "we can no longer get this item" email
Whenever HLJ gets enough orders that they will sell out of their first shipment they automatically stop accepting orders. When thy do this the release/restock date switches to Future release. This indicates to people that have not place an order that they can't get one now, but there will be a restock in the future, HLJ just can't be sure when. The release/restock tags are aimed at potential buyers, not those who have already bought.
Now it says "Discontinued" while Millia stays at "Sept. Restock".... Glad I got my M&M when I did.
HLJ tags the items as discontinued when the've gotten enough orders to take all the items they anticipate getting, and they're fairly sure they won't be getting any more after that ( usually because the manufacturer tells them so)
Unless you were one of the very last people to order one of these you should still recieve your orders.
If experience serves me: when HLJ recieves these and fills the orders they will make these valks available again for a very short time to clear any remaining stock that didn't go to existing orders. So there will be a chance to get these close to the restock date, but it will be really short and you'll need to be lucky.
Last confirmed info I had from HLJ was a September Restock for both Max and Milia.

I'm so torn on that one. I really want the SV-51 and want Yamato to focus on making sure it is well worth the wait and the price tag (we won't go into the cost ot my mental health), but at the same time I still like the yf-21 more and would be totally thrilled if Graham came back with offical info on it... like a planned release date.
If the 21 is coming out by the end of this year the next few months is when we'd likely start hearing about it right? doesn't Yamato tend to start leaking info about 6 month ahead of the planned release dates? Thats been my experience with the yf-19, vf-0a, ghost and sv-51.
-
I just ordered a couple of these myself. I've seen them here on MW before and always thought they were much better than the Yamie Valk stands. Glad I can finally get some for myself.

Revoltech Destroids would be awesome, especially in say 1:48 or 1:60 scale...
Actually I think the valks are gonna be 1/200 at best in the revoltech line, so if they make destroids I would bet about the same scale. Revoltech is a very small scale line.
