  1. I haven't received a notice from HLJ yet either, and I placed my pre-order back in March. What gives? Should I be worried?

No, not really. HLJ can be a little slow in sending out notices and shipping but they always fill pre-orders first. The're very reliable. I haven't recieved mine yet either but probably will by Monday at the latest (most likely sooner).

Just so you know: if there are other items on the same order as your M&M's then they might not ship them until the other items are in stock. It all depends on wether you selected partial shipments when you ordered.

  2. Is the replacement parts free of charge or something? Because I did not get my -19 from them, and I'm just wondering if I'm qualified to get one from them? And I have no way of paying online.

Not really sure. They charge me when I need a runner. But I've never needed a spare toy part before so I'm not sure what they will be able to do.

  3. Same here. I've had my 19 since the very first release, and aside from the few fixes I did early on( landing gear, gun pod), I haven't had any problems. Both arms are still fairly tight and have no stress marks. It might just be a fluke or rough handling. If it was a common problem we'd have seen it here a while ago.

MangledMess - I'm not sure what that part of the arm is made of so I can't even guess at a glue for it. But for replacement parts try contact Hobby Link Japan. They can usually get me replacement runners for models. I've never tried to get a toy part so no gaurentees, but they might be able to get one for you.

  4. Don't worry about the Battroid CAD art. In real life, it looks awesome.

We had the same thing with the VF-0 and YF-19 CAD art making the toys look chunkier than they actually are. Plus that posted CAD art opic has definitely been stretched horizontally.

So do you think Yamato will release some clean CAD scans for us to look at?

I think the 21's CAD looks better then the VF-0 and YF-19 CAD art did, and both of those turned out great IRL. So this one should also be quite impressive when we start seeing the proto's.

  5. I looked over mine last night and I think I figured out a fix for the sagging wing problem that doesn't involve putting CA into the hinge pin, but still requires CA to be used. But I need to test it tonight and take some pics. It' may not work, but if it does it will be a very simple fix. Back to that later

Other than a few loose joints Mine turned out just fine. I don't have the Left/left or Right/right hinge problem so I don't believe it's a universal problem (personally I think one guy on the assembly line was drinking, or stupid, and put a bunch together wrong) and all of my missle points attach securely. I must say I'm impressed with this one, IT IS HUGE. I had to clear alot more space on my shelf than I thought I'd need to. But very impressive. I even got a "that's cool" out of my girl for this one, which is a rarity to say the least ( she usually just rolles her eyes and asks how much I spent on THAT one )

The stand is good, but it's not as good as some of the stands that come with Bandai MG Gundam kits. It'll do the job tho and was an excelent included feature. Hope they include one with the 21 as well.

  6. Happy, Happy!

Just checked my shipping status and it's sitting on my front porch waiting. Damn you normal work hours! I'll be spending some time with this baby tonight.

I've refained from making many posts in this thread until I had my 51 in hand to get a good feel for it. I'll post what I think of it, and any problems/lack of problems I encounter, tomorrow. Now I just neet to make it throught the next 7 hours....

  7. 1/48!? 1/48 is a dead scale except for the occasional reissue or repaint.

Trust me, there is no chance in seeing a VF-4 & vF-11B in 1/48 scale.

    Graham

Does that mean theres a chance well see them in another scale, like 1/60th?

you did say to read between the lines, right? ^_^

  8. The "Aug Restock" just means their first shipment is sold out. This use to confuse me too, but I've been buying from them for so long, I usually just take it as an early shipment notice now. I ordered mine the same day it became available, so it won't be long now. MUWAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHaaa

  9. heh, it could be like the hidden figure in the marvel heroes series.. you get a part of the monster in each box (lord knows there's enough room in there) and when you collect all the repaints, you can piece together your own monster. :p

AAHHHHHH!!! Don't say things like that lest Yamato decides to try it.

  10. I'd like it to be the VF-0D, it's definatly my favorite from Mac-0. But honestly I can't think of anything from any Macross series (that I've seen) that fits with Grahams latest clue.

    My thoughts:

VF-0D - Penetrated water, gets Saturated with water

YF-21 - Penetrated a sky Saturated with missles -> but this has been announced, no need for clues now.

Mac-0 ver. Monster - Pentrates anything, Saturates everything with radiation (reactor shells)

  11. yea... I get on my own butt for paying $140 for some of the stuff Yamato... My girl~~ pish.... I tell her my yf-19 costs me $89 and she still thinks I'm nuts.

It's strange though... she thinks my HT Ed 209 and Flight Pack Robo are awesome and I told her it was $190 & $140 each.

It's cause she doesn't know where the're from. My girl loves my old (beat up) Voltron I grabbed at a garage sale, but doesn't give my meticulously built and painted Armored Core models a second glance. Same thing for Gundams, Valks ect. But show her a He-Man doll and she gets all wobbley. Sheesh <_<
