It might actually be more cost effective to lump some of them into the same mold. One casting operation is cheaper than 10 as it were.

They're all good. No need to choose.
MAKE EM ALL!

I believe that Mr. Moscato is planning a run of the old destroids actually, he's says that's his next project. A Cheyenne would be so sweet though.
Good to know, he´ll have them finished in no time and in good quality, I´ll stick to the Cheyenne then.
I'll send you my Preiser 1/72 figs if that will speed up the process.
Thanks for the offer, but I strongly hope to get them here at last!
I mean if they are MADE here, they should be available...
Still want a full vehicles set too, I'd order like 5 sets dude.
Wow cool... but what does "full set" mean? Well the 6wheeler for pilot transportation of course, a trailer for damaged mecha like in the 1/100 factory set? There was also some kind of airfield car in the set and a lorry with a moveable working platform... anything else? Globals representative car from ep.1,.... the lorry that helped getting the VF-1D out of way, wasn´t there a fish on it??? I´m sure there were lots more, need to check the Perfect Memory book again.... loads of vehicles
You got me with the Limo dude! I think I'm going to have to find another obscure subject to pattern.

I just don't like the concept. It exploits and cheapens the genius of Leonardo.
-
Heh.
It's on hold for a bit, while I work on my Wonderfest project (which may or may not be entirely in vein -- I've got 4 days left to finish it).
I'm building a resin kit of the Starblade, a space fighter from a Namco arcade game of the same name. I should be pretty damn cool, if I can finish it
I'm going to be there too. Though I won't have anything to enter.

I paid $1800 for the Volks Jagd Mirage Twin Tower model.

if yamato which is a smaller company can make a 1/48
Yamato is smaller than Toynami? I don't think that's true...
I know I should know this but do they hold the license to produce Mospeada toys as well as Robotech?Yes, Toynami has the GCM license through HG.
This whole thing is silly, the design costs are already sunk, what else could be so prohibitively expensive? I think this smacks of either a craptastic way of getting publicity and being able to up an already inflated MSRP or a way of covering the fact that Toynami is actually in such dire financial straits that they can't do anything more than 3 cents a unit Imen.
Or is an early excuse for vaporware.

The comparison to Volks and WSC resin kits is entirely inappropriate to this secario. Those kits tend to have dozens of intricate and delicate parts. There is no comparison.
This kit would be better compared to figure kits for parts breakdown and complexity.
Being a FSS fan I just could let that one pass.

1/200th it is. Now someone needs to make a 1/200th scale Prometheus to go with that Daedalus model. The shuttle needs to lauch from some deck right?
-
If anyone else wants one, now's the time to speak up. If I go to a caster, they'll probably want a minimum quantity. This way if there's enough, they might be interested. It's a matter of balancing cost out unfortuneatly. Unless you wanna pay a hundred bucks for a tiny plane. Oh wait, we do that here We'll keep it in this thread too. - MT
For larger craft I suggest that we avoid the metric model scales and make them in 1/144th scale to go with other SST kits.
-
I have a start to the CAD file I was going to use as a pattern. I can finnish that up and pass it on to whoever wants to do the master.
-
The one in 1/72nd used to be in my to-do list. I would get one if it were on par with the Ghost kit.
-
I hear ya. I only made 30 and was sick of making them.
-
At what point do you just outsource the casting to someone who does it full time? If it is too much you can go through Starship Modeler's services. I had to give up on the Galactica when I had over 150 requests. I just sold the pattern outright and that allowed me to move on to the next project.

You could try fabric paint. It's basically a paintable rubber/vinyl.

Got mine today. There awesome. I really like the squishy parts.

Nothing has shown up here yet. I'm getting bummed out.

We don't know that for certain at all. I think the Pegasus is going to get blown up by terrorists.

Why should SK redisign the ONE perfect design of his?

No mailman today.
