Did anyone went to the PMX this past weekend? What did you think? I knew it was small, that's why I went, no more 3 hours lines and stuff (this maybe bad for the con. but good for us). The concerts were kickass if you're into the J-rock and J-pop stuff.
Since it was smal and slow for the dealer's, they dropped their prices. I found one dealer that has Alpha fighters and Cyclone riders. This is the point of my topic
Anyway, do you guys know if there are re-issue on these toys? or boot-leg releases recently? He was selling the Alpha for $50 and Cyclone rider for $70 with no tax. I was so afraid that it was a bootleg (the moment u open it, it falls apart), but it looks so legit! below are some screen shot of the one I picked up. Please let me know. He said he has a bunch of them too.

Just like what Blaine23 was saying.
If this follows through...Publishers/developers will spend more money on the game reviewers to ensure the high ratings instead of spending it on the game development :-( And if this really follow through, I think becoming a game reviewer will be worthwhile, cause I know all the game companies will stand in line with kneepads

Bandai has started accepting preorders for a special limited edition Casio G-Shock watch with an Evangelion skin on the front and an engraving of Rei Ayanami on the back. Preorders were started last night and will last until May 16. The production will be limited to 1000 units only with each watch serially numbered on the back. The face of the watch is designed with an EVA-00 mark and a black/mint color scheme with the NERV logo dead center. Functions of the watch include a solar recharge system, a stopwatch function, and automatic calibration for daylight savings.
Pricing is set at Y26,040 and we start preorders today at US$295.

It's only a matter of time before Micorsoft's "Zbox" (XBOX3) hurts Sony's baby. Sony laughed at Micorosft for joining into the video game industry, but they forgot the Microsoft's third time is the charm rule. Just like Apple laughed at them with Windows, then Windows 3.11 came out and they lost a major market. WordPerfect Laughed at them with word processor, then Word 3 came out and the rest was history. Netscape said Explorer was no theat, then version 3 came out, the PC 3D forums laughed at Direct X, then Direct X version 3 came out. The Palm laughed at the pocket PCs, then verion 3 (Pocket 2003) came out. Look at all those that laughed at Microsoft, They were once "Kings" of their markets and Notice that version 3 was the turning point of their dismay.
OK, back on the subject...It's an awesome price for what you get really. You can ludge it around to friends (thoes that don't have a PC) and watch those Macross Zero AVI files and play the old school games without having all your old system out of the garage like the Mcross game on the PC engine or the macross on the Famicom.

The Xbox is the ultimate system (after you "enhanced" it). You can play almost all the mame roms (and many other emulators including PS1, SNES, PCE, GBA, etc) and watch all your anime AVI on your big screen!!

there's no subtitle options. My biggest gripe is that there is no "lock-on" target feature. It makes the fighting very fustrading.
I gave it a "C" rating out of A to F. There's too many thing to list, but I have not time to write a review right now.
The Good:
The license
The GC movies (even though it should be higher quality)
The spider tank
The feature that u can hack into enemies soldiers
Some Cool fighting (but very limiting)
The Bad
The graphics (plain and empty, not up to par compare to recent games like Prince of Persia)
The very bad AI (So bad, that even when you stand right next to him, he doesn't even notice you until a minute later)
No trageting system
Boring puzzles.

I hope (wishful thinking) that whoever (hopefully Pioneer or Genom) will release it here will have the limited editions of it like in Japan. They come with figures (Pacifica and Raquel are 12 inches tall) and a puzzle pencil board of the girls in bikini
