  1. true, stuck with them, but I'm not that impressed by the show, i'll probably stop watching it if it doesn't get better real quick. meh story + awful looking encodes = drop.

And that is the sad thing the manga is so amazingly well written and drawn but the anime has the wrong pacing. It could just be that at the moment trying to establish story. I hope that the pacing improves and the violence level is on the weak side as well.

  2. Big fat YAAAAWN to the second episode... yeah... this anime is a way censored version of the story, plus all the fight scenes are cut down to a few quick slashes... where they airing this in Japan? The Japanese Nickelodeon?

I wonder if there is a secondary version like they had for witchblade. I just think that they could have capitalized on a series that sells extremely well in Japan. Maybe the violence will become more intense in later episodes.

  3. It is however available on Region A Blu-Ray, which is supported in North America. Unfortunately, it is not subtitled.

I am bummed about the no subs you would think from a marketing stand point they would take them on. Yes technically we in the west aren't suppose to have it or have seen it but it kills me. Maybe we get some secondary release after series end with some subs.

  4. The space is really more relevant for high-detail models and textures. And the DS' lower capabilities mean there's less to cram into the ROM.

Of course, the DS' lower capabilities also means it probably couldn't do the game for other reasons(and the lack of a thumbnub for transformation control makes button count more of a pain).

It also means less on a screen at any given time. The swarm of enemies is a Macross hallmark.

  5. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Bilrer = Isaac from Escaflowne...i.e., the old guy whose job it is to watch the plot unfold on a monitor while his eyes grow big and he says, "OHHHH..." in a gravelly voice...?

He does seem like the watcher character. He might intereact but perhaps can't directly affect. I mean his sitting room gives that "god" feel since he is this massive figure over looking a world even though it is just a train set.

  6. I wasn't necessarily meaning I wanted to be older, I just want to be able to say things like "kids these days.." and such. I am quite alright with my youth and hope it lasts a while.

I actually do say that when speaking to people who are younger than myself so it isn't total loss. I am just young compared to most members here it would seem.

    Agreed there Dex.

  7. Kinda underwhelmed. Everything was fine except for the fact that there wasn't any fighting... all the fight scenes were the old "let's move in on each other" and cut to dramatic poses at the end. Hopefully this isn't how the entire series is gonna be, but if so... I can't watch. It seem that they did it more to censor violence than as an artistic thing.

Manji's sister was cut in half in the comic book but here she just falls to his arms.

That was my big prob it was cool but some of that punch was missing. Then again I wonder if they will do like the did with witchblade and have like a secondary dvd cut that is more violent.
