  1. A model section would be nice, I for one enjoy some of the great works members create here. I know there has talk about it in the past and a few attempts at making websites dedicated to Model works, but either they made it difficult to show em off/upload, or a million links just to get to a gallery of some sort. Also I think the problem is with models, is that lots people like to look at em, but fewer actually build em. I always see great models coming from the same 5 people.

  2. If I recall correctly, I spent about $130.00 on mine about 4 years ago. I am pretty sure it was a recast though, since it came with no decals and the flash was just rediculous. As you can see there is not a whole of detail, but I was pleased to finally have one. I know I seen some being sold awhile back for about 50 bucks, i'll check my favorites and see if I can dig up the link for you.

As far as the model itself is concerned, it has about twenty pieces to it, and pretty straight forward to assemble, but a lot of trimming will be required if you want it perfect. The one i did had no decals/stickers so i just ended up making my own. If you spend time you could make the model look awesome, I know I could have done a better job.

Captain america, great job on yours, it was actually the reason why i wanted one my self. As you can see i kinda copied your paint scheme as well ;) so thanx dood.

  3. Are toys worth the high price? I would say No, however I am a model person, I prefer detail over playablilty. I did however spend 60 dollars on a vf-1j fastback once, and actually fealt dissapponted. I do however look forward to getting that cool armored 1/60 upgrade.

  4. Bought it, tried it when it first came out. Very dissappointed! It's based on a Mac platform. I had to do alot of tweaking for my PC, still was not worth it. Not user friendly, and does not accept default calibration. I like realism, and this game does offer that , but only as interface is concerned, however the graphics just suck. There are lots of mods for the game, but even still not worth it. For what I paid for the game, I coulda got the Microsoft Flight Sim which has everything, well at least the version I have now (Microsoft Flight Sim 2002), but if there is a newer version then the one I purchased a couple years ago, it has to be better. Demo version available?

  5. I know I would love to buy a couple Cat's eye models, regardless of makes em, however you will get alot of resitance from those who already have, as you may have noticed, its always the same ones who currently got one now that say it is "impossible or not worht it", because im sure they want to keep their "investment" secure as possible. When i mentioned my extreme interest right after the order from Tanmen finally came in last year, a couple of friendly MacrossWorld Tanmen Cat's Eye owners gladly offered me theirs (one member $295.00 and the other $315.00). I understand that want to be the collectors of a rare model, or even for profit reasons, but unlike them I like to actually put mine together. So don't let the negative feedback about this great kit pursuade you at all, keep on trying to get it made, or remade, or whatever, let me know if I can help too.

  6. Could care less about SpiderMan, but you guys talked me into it. Its actually pretty cool and for 21 bucks at Walmart (got mine last night) you can't beat the price. And there are alot of tie ties to take off, but a good idea to use them as web shooters is actually pretty kewl, so thanx for the info.

  7. Though I must say I do not make alot of posts, even though this is the only I forum I visit daily, I have to say the Cat's Eye you built is a breath of fresh air, and look forward to actually getting mine own one day. Thanx for the pics.
