Frankly I see no reason for Arcadia to attempt to compete with a V3 1/60 Valkyrie. There's so many other valkyries they could be making instead, ones where they're not fighting with everyone on the planet (including Yamato) for $$ over. They'd do better to make YF-21/VF-22, VF-11, and maybe start on the unrealized designs like VF-9 and VF-14.

There's almost zero rationale for Arcadia to spend money designing and producing a V3 that they'll have to sell on the slimmest of margins.

Oh I do want to see new stuff. Absolutely and in fact I also prefer the idea of that instead of a V3 1/60 they need to get to work on the 1/48 V2. As loose and difficult as they have become to make stand (ESP with SSP on) they’re still my favorites. Then there’s no current competition as nobody else is making anything Macross anywhere near in that scale, currently at least.  Surely their profit margins will be slimmer but I mean, well thats what happens when you stop reissuing 10-15 year old toys for twice their original price or more. That’s nice for them I'm sure but hardly a sustainable business model.

  2. With talk of mold degredation, this MAAS Toy’s producing Robuttech toys, KC’s inbound 1/72 Veritech and Bandai’s DX Chogokin Valkyrie a few weeks away it sounds like Arcadia needs to start working on the 1/60 Valkyrie V3. That is if they wish to stay relevant as well as continue to charge the prices they ask. I’m tapping my fingers Arcadia...

edit: Oh and I forgot their V2 has now been knocked off and is the premium format but half the price. Rare Yamato reissues are nice but give us something new guys.

I’m down for more Marvel Legends releases at Walgreens since all of them have been easy to get so far.  Plus I accumulate free rewards points without purchasing anything so I’ll be getting Mystique for free when she comes out.

As of November 3rd I believe Walgreens changed how they handle points cash in. You can only use a maximum of $5 towards any purchase at a time.  $15 ML figs are still nice and all but I will miss the “free” ones.  It was a good thing while it lasted though. Sigh...

  4. I’m assuming licensing being an issue that KC can only make Robuttech toys and would hence be limited to characters from that hodgepodge series but if there’s a way they can dip into Macross kosher I neeeeed them to make a DYRL Millia in her Q Rau pilot suit. My 1/60 Q-Rau needs to finally have a real pilot figure and not the figure shaped plug it comes with. Nor the non poseable CMS with disintegrating hair. Let’s see some Mospeada civilian outfitted figures also to go with our Sentinel Riobots. Meow.

  5. Wow. Not too bad looking. I’ll happily take every 1/12 figure they throw my way. I’ll buy every single one of those 1/72 Valks um... Veritechs? So long as the reviews are good I’m in. I’ll take every well made, reasonably priced Valkyrie I can get in any scale.  The more companies making Macross/Youknowhatech the better. I want to see them bring back that TV SDF-1 in normal colors. Other than being essentially 50% chromed for some reason it looked promising. What ever happened to that?

I asked sometime at Sentinel so I could determine if I needed to do an updated review, I'll let you know what I hear back. I suspect they made it so the head ball joint is tighter but I doubt anything else changed.

Cool thanks. I’ll actually know myself tomorrow at some point. I know they didnt include one but a swappable unpainted or traditionally painted visor would be a marked improvement. Maybe with Yellow/Houquet.

  7. Whilst I await delivery of the reissues, has anyone handled one of the Riobot reissues yet?  Are there any notable improvements?  The only real complaint I’ve had and that I hope they address is the foot armor popping off and the bike handguards /shoulder armor popping off easily. I like that the arm pistons etc pop off easily. Prevents stress or breakage when posing. But those two aforementioned areas to me are inexcusably looser than needed. Still one of my favorite purchases this year though. IMHO edges out the Beagle as best ride armor toy ever (I mean there’s so many contenders right?). Also looks like only the second manufacturer that’s willing to give us a complete set. Go Sentinel go!!!

hmmm i've looked into this but they don't ship to us. how did you make it work

Just set up an Amazon JP account same as you would a US account. There is a button for English up top somewhere. Only slight hitch is that only Amazon themselves and VERY few other sellers will ship to US though. Akihabara Shop JP also ships to US.  Usually the best prices you will find and ships FAST!  I ordered my Stick yesterday and just got a text alerting me that the DHL shipment would be arriving Monday.

  9. Heads up Amazon JP has Stick for $158 shipped (just ordered one and that’s what it came to after currency conversion) and Rey is a bit more. Didn’t order one but looks like it should come to $171ish. Amazon JP usually has orders to my door in US in under 4 days also. Anyone still in the market might want to pay them a visit. Aside from used I’ve never seen these cheaper.

  10. Although I’ve ordered from Amazon JP before I’ve never preordered. Do you pay upfront for a preorder or is it akin to Amazon US where you pay when it ships?

Thanks for the headsup, Dave! :good:;)

I'm overwhelmed just by looking at those loose accessories. It's like the same feeling I felt when I started buying some 1/6th figures esp Snake Eyes from both Hot Toys and Sideshow. In my head, I was like I want to buy a lot of weapons for him. And here I am thinking the same thing for the loose ML figures that I bought and planning on body swapping. Man oh man, another rabbit hole. :bigshok:

Same here amigo lol. The guns and accessories are all molded plastic also. No brittle resin business. And all the parts are interchangeable with each other. Really slick. I basically threw almost all the ML issued “weapons” more like (super soakers or nerf guns) and spent like $60 or so to rearm them with these.

Anyone here using Neca's Clear Action Figure Display Stands for their ML figures? Planning to get 2 packs but not sure if it fits ML's peg hole.

Google Marauder inc. website. He sells on eBay also. Best figure stands out there and cheaper than Neca. Come in clear or black, have a smaller footprint and have one peg hole on one side for 1/12 foot peg holes and one on other side for 1/18 foot peg holes. And ML fit perfectly.  He also happens to sell the best 1/12 weapons on the market.

  13. My guess is that with Walgreens releasing their exclusive ML figures so close to each other now and moving to a “team” with a dramatically larger character roster to pick from (F4 to X-Men U kiddin’ me?) that this will be a BAF. I mean before the Walgreens exclusives were like what 1 maybe 2 in a year?  Now we got The Thing and then Magik what 3 weeks later. And already Mystique about to drop with White Queen waiting to drop. White Queen could have Lilandra’s body and legs ala Jubilee and the next two figure each get an arm. Because nothing else makes sense. Every additional head included thus far went to an already released figure. Even the Madcap head with DP makes sense as Madcap has impersonated DP before. Not exactly wearing his MC mask with DP’s uniform but in spirit it can make sense. This makes no sense unless it goes to an already released figure, one already announced and on the way or a BAF. I vote BAF.  I guess we’ll find out for certain when they finally reveal the back of Mystique’s box.

Edit: although I’m certain we’ll find out a Lilandra BAF is in the wings I guess worst case this swap and a little customizing TLC might do

Your Mospeada display makes a strong statement, sir!  If I'm not very much mistaken, it's something along the lines of:

"I categorically deny the validity of -- and further, refuse to acknowledge even the faintest notion of -- the concept of "relative scale."

Lol!  Funny enough I’m an OCD scale wh0re. I’m still unpacking from storage (2 1/2 years of most of my prized possessions in boxes in storage... was rough man...) and setting up my display cabinets. When I’m done I’ll display by scale but for time being I’m just grouping series’ together. And as I understand it ET was formed by a few members of the artists formerly known as CMs. In fact I have almost every CMs Mospeada release and the ET Legioss reminds me ALOT of the CMs in quite a few aspects. From the assembly of the top shoulder missile doors and the way they open to the way the shoulder Missile pod hinges out. More so than a different company mimicking a design element. More like the same guys just doing it again in a larger scale. Just wish they had built it the same way they did as CMs. I’ve had my CMs Zeta take a shelf dive from the top of a Detolf whilst “attached” (if you can call that an attachment) to the Tread in Soldier mode and didn’t even leave a stress mark anywhere let alone break. There aren’t many toys I’d trust to pull that feat off.

  15. Finally took the plunge on one of the ET Legioss’ due to it being under $200 shipped. My impressions are basically exactly in line with Scorched Earth’s reviews. Mine had no QC issues fortunately. The hands are absolute garbage. Like more useless than the old 90’s Bandai Gundam HI Complete Models toy hands. I’m also miffed that ET pulled the same lazy B.S they pulled on the Brave Gokin Zeta when they were CMs and gave us extra figures of the black ride armors instead of Houquet. That said yes the plastic is thinner than most toys buuut it feels like ABS and although it is thinner than your average toy it still feels robust enough that I don’t feel like it might break. It feels strong enough unlike most of ET’s other releases that are just as thin but also feel like styrene. Fighter mode is unenjoyable and sags with landing gear deployed but Diver and Soldier mode are quite enjoyable. Once you decal it up it is quite beautiful and a splendid addition to a Mospeada display. I recommend these IF under $200. At full pop MSRP nah....

  16. As much as I love some nice mech artwork on my boxes (Tenjin HMR mmmmmmm), who cares???   i’m waaaay more concerned with the quality of what is inside this particular box. There are not a lot of options for GOOD Macross Valkyrie toys. I’m very hopeful we can add another to our collections. If it’s a good toy the price seems completely reasonable and the few KC toys I’ve purchased have been A-ok by me. Hopeful this one follows that trend. Patiently awaiting reviews...
