I'm hoping this isn't some sad 'its all in his head' kind of film as it could damage the JOKER brand. DC/WB needs a reminder that the JOKER is super villain doing super villain stuff and not some pathetic guy in a mental hospital.
This reminds me of the half baked love triangle stuff they did with suicide squad. from what I seen they edited out half the story from the movie so it seemed kinda stupid on screen. I think your spot on. 1st movie was his origin story now in 2nd movie he is supposed to establish his own unique take as the Joker being a supervillain. also this movie if done right could set up Easter eggs for a third movie with his rivals and there unique take in this franchise. Hopefully they don't screw it up. If it was me I would bring Jared Leto in as the Riddler in a third movie.

Is it just me, or does this look super weird with the combination of clear, metallic plastic, and metal coating parts?
Your not alone after I looked at more pictures it's weird . several past anniversary Macross stuff still on my list I'll just stay focused on them instead.

I think they should have looked at more scripts before rushing into a 2nd movie so soon. It's always a bad sign. I'm not a fan of GaGa the dudes ok but they could just went with the mixed girl from the first movie or someone like her.

Was this shown before ? On the forum maybe it was leaked photos? Or display booth?
I remember seeing something just like this awhile back and I thought the smoked panels looked kinda offsetting .

color me surprised nobody in here seems interested in the 50th (/of chogokin, not macross glad we aren't that old yet) anniversary version. i think it looks kinda cool. way better than arcadia or yamato's old offerings for macross anniveraries. looks like this is only going to be in physical stores? we actually have a store here in nyc it seems. wonder if they will carry it. seems like USA not greyed out like europe and latam.
I'm interested, I just think it should have been part of the soul of chogokin line.

Some movies are classics and should just be left alone. The Crow being one of them, they also tried to ruin another Classic, Jacobs Ladder with a piss poor reboot.
One thing people are missing just like a lot of other business and institutions in America the government allowed studies to consolidate from several hundred studios in the late 1980's to just 3 to 4 mega studios who own and control subsidiaries, while themselves owned by an even bigger conglomerate. its all part of a technocracy and it will only get worse because when government and corporate interest merge that's fascism. its all about generating profits to the max sweeping out any kind of passion in the films.
Now there is some hope? Yes but a compromise. Look at Godzilla Minus One, a soft almost reboot of the 1954. it was made in Japan with on screen dialogs . maybe the future is foreign movies from all over the world translated with AI into English? not perfect but still good.
Another future options in dealing with reboots like this having AI re-edit these reboots by fans to make them good. Example I've dreamed of AI fixed version of the bay transformers movies with fixing the characters, adding characters while redoing the whole story line. take all the movies and condense them into a three movie trilogy.
Another option is movie studios instead of doing reboots, instead creates AI tools allowing you to remake any film you want yourself for a small fee and maybe even have a marketplace were the studio will sell your director cut and you even get a small commission out of each one rented.
There is a solution to the reboot madness but only time will tell what it is.

Yeah, for some reason I’m not all that excited for this one. I liked the first and saw it in the theater, but so far this just doesn’t interest me as much. Maybe it’ll be greater than I expect, but for now I’ll just wait and see
Same here.

It really belongs here Chogokin Line but that would mean a retool of the 1/48 and fixing all the little issues to make it perfect. not happening.

Not sure...looking over their items, most of it is available for immediate shipment....as far as I can tell, they have plenty of unsold stock....guess collectors were not willing to bite even at their "shocking" prices.....shocking...
The only stuff sold out are some of the earliest of releases, such as the first Rick Hunter and Lisa Hayes figures....but those were released years ago
Maybe they think making their stuff available to the Japanese market will make their inventory fly off the shelves?
Still, if they can convince BW/HG or whatever combination of licensors that they should be allowed to sell in Japan, then that may open the door for Bandai and Arcadia, etc to be able to sell their merch SDFM/DYRL merch outside of Japan....one can only hope!
Crossing fingers, he seems like a genuine guy to deal with. not sure things would fly off the shelves in Japan, as It might almost be seen as a KO brand to them there

G1-style Jetfire in cartoon Skyfire colors. it really stands out next to the original if you want one you can get it here. he is not charging much compared to added the time, parts and efforts. I think its a labor of love.
I've bought a couple kits from him including the Fans Toy conversion kit.

Red Ant? Do you mean Inferno? Antagony already got a release last fall, and as a black ant. Inferno was released... I want to say late 2022. Inferno was a regular retail release, while Antagony was a Pulse-exlcusive Generations Select release. She's the exact same figure, just in a different color, packaged with an extra head.
Ok, thanks for the info on that. I seen today somewhere online a new series by Takara were its one of each beast wars Maximal vs. Predicon in red/foil box's . I thought you might be keeping track of those
.
It would be nice if someone made one of her more fembot versions from the comics, maybe some day. she is a very interesting character.
-
This little one might be a cool fembot kit to build with.
It with be interesting to see what it could be turned into once people start modding it.

Here is a new action figure, styled like the doll from earlier in the tread, trying to be an action figure.
Its cool, I just have not had any thoughts on it as of yet.

What KC needs is a license from BW to produce DYRL merch, as it seems HG is no longer willing to provide their license (whether it is theirs to provide or not) to KC or anyone else...
That box of "goodies" will likely end up in some Japanese dumpster after the "licensing" meeting...
I kind of agree with you, but the missing part here is even if they get more business or not, the lack of production capability they have shown just means trying to do more with less. its a dragon chasing its tail. they need more capital but need more production. even if they got a BW license they could not capitalize on it with enough capital to expand production.
Try buying separate strike parts online anyplace, try buying the super deformed toys online anyplace. about half of what they list on the store is backordered or preordered. that dragon thing was suppose to be the start of a new series now, two years later nothing. another company selling it and pushing it forward.
I think BW wants much more money then HG asks for and HG is much more flexible. BW would expect the high revenue generation like they get from companies like Bandai and would just see KC as another garage kit company like Arcadia has become.
I do admire the KC guy for what he is doing and wish him the best, I'll buy more stuff if its interesting and priced right.

Preorders open tomorrow at 9:00am EDT, and I think they're another Target-exclusive. I guess people are happy because a lot of them missed Tarn the first time for some reason? I don't see a huge difference there. Don't really need Tarantulas, either. I guess the deco is based on some prototype. That said, I guess I'll have to shell out for this set anyway to get Prime Cliffjumper (retooled from Legacy United Chase) and Squeezeplay (looks like a heavy retool of Titans Return Mindwipe).
EDIT: OMG, Squeezeplay's gun is molded to look like Browning from Masterforce.
Don't forget the Pulse stream at 11:00am, also.
Those look cool! I seen a picture online with a red looking ant from Takara, I wonder if that will be an antagony?

Crossing fingers for a VE-1 to go next to my Skillet head. ...Luna Park is still selling these on PO so its still possible for late comers.

I like the heads myself, they remind me of the 1990 Bandai Stuff. I know many of you are purest and that's ok too.
Thinking to myself these look bandai quality, at a KC price point. so I will likely buy them all once released.
