Red Ant?  Do you mean Inferno?  Antagony already got a release last fall, and as a black ant.  Inferno was released... I want to say late 2022.  Inferno was a regular retail release, while Antagony was a Pulse-exlcusive Generations Select release.  She's the exact same figure, just in a different color, packaged with an extra head.

Ok, thanks for the info on that. I seen today somewhere online a new series by Takara were its one of each beast wars Maximal vs. Predicon in red/foil box's . I thought you might be keeping track of those:).

It would be nice if someone made one of her more fembot versions from the comics, maybe some day. she is a very interesting character.

What KC needs is a license from BW to produce DYRL merch, as it seems HG is no longer willing to provide their license (whether it is theirs to provide or not) to KC or anyone else...

That box of "goodies" will likely end up in some Japanese dumpster after the "licensing" meeting...

I kind of agree with you, but the missing part here is even if they get more business or not, the lack of production capability they have shown just means trying to do more with less. its a dragon chasing its tail. they need more capital but need more production. even if they got a BW license they could not capitalize on it with enough capital to expand production.

Try buying separate strike parts online anyplace, try buying the super deformed toys online anyplace. about half of what they list on the store is backordered or preordered. that dragon thing was suppose to be the start of a new series now, two years later nothing. another company selling it and pushing it forward.

I think BW wants much more money then HG asks for and HG is much more flexible. BW would expect the high revenue generation like they get from companies like Bandai and would just see KC as another garage kit company like Arcadia has become.

I do admire the KC guy for what he is doing and wish him the best, I'll buy more stuff  if its interesting and priced right.

Preorders open tomorrow at 9:00am EDT, and I think they're another Target-exclusive.  I guess people are happy because a lot of them missed Tarn the first time for some reason?  I don't see a huge difference there.  Don't really need Tarantulas, either.  I guess the deco is based on some prototype.  That said, I guess I'll have to shell out for this set anyway to get Prime Cliffjumper (retooled from Legacy United Chase) and Squeezeplay (looks like a heavy retool of Titans Return Mindwipe).

EDIT: OMG, Squeezeplay's gun is molded to look like Browning from Masterforce.

Don't forget the Pulse stream at 11:00am, also.

Those look cool! I seen a picture online with a red looking ant from Takara, I wonder if that will be an antagony?

     Very silly-looking bootlegs.

Same here, that's the reason I've not bought one, but they do make good use for customs.. like this one I bought.

  5. I just did this little Cutie Robot, it was very fun up until I got the instructions of building arms (missing upper arm instructions you must finish build then use leftover parts to figure it out) I am going to order another kit for a custom piece with a full paint job and will go at it with all the gundam building tricks that will work it into something one of a kind.

I love this little thing, she was a blast to build.:)

I remember Kara, watched it when it first came out and yeah it was pretty cool. Eventually played the game when it finally released many years later. Gameplay was average but it was among my first forays back into modern console gaming, so was sufficiently impressed by how much the visuals have moved forward by about 15 years when I first quit console gaming.

Same here so much time and graphics has upped up but not so much on console I am getting rid of my PS5 next week I need to get out of gaming so I have time to build kits I've got a backlog of 12 Frame Arm Girls/30MS kits + I want to get into 3D printing to make my own SDF-1 model kit.

Considering how low the bar is set by Toynami (not even remotely acceptable), and not everyone wants to paint a still model statue, those are pretty much the only real options, so I don't mind the minor issues with their figures at all.  Are they perfect?  No, but good enough.  That's about it, but at least someone is making an effort.  I hope they release the pilot figure tho, and PLEASE bring on the other characters especially Kakizaki, Global, Claudia, and the bridge bunnies in that order.  I'll buy every one they release.

That! they are trying better for certain. would be nice if they could get a BW License and do both brands. now if they make a SDF-1 with the detail of everything else they make I'll buy it as I love giant robots.  I've thought about buying these dolls they look good to me and using real fabric is a step above imho. the dolls would go great with the autographed cards I have of each pilot, but I'm still deciding or my wallet is.:D

This is pretty cool. It reminds me of the 2020 movie Archive. Although looking back now it doesn't look anything like it, it just somehow gives off similar vibes..

That looks like a really good movie I might have to watch it sometime. kind of has some vibes from the movie The Lazarus Project about the system, resurrection and death.

That cyborg doll kind of reminded me of this video, it blew me away years ago. can't believe looking at the date its been so long.

    Maybe a rival called Bandai.

Bandaid is just another licensee and manufacturer, Big West calls all the shots and owns all Macross IP per Studio Nue, Jetfire likeness and name is owned by Hasbro.

I'm not sure about Bandaid being able to do anything unless Takara tried to do a copy of the 1/55.

I am interested in these tiny Tiny Valks if the price is right

  10. Not to sidetrack the discussion, but if Takara has a BW license for the Macross designs and they share rights for Jetfire with Hasbro what is stopping them from releasing an Japan Exclusive of Jetfire? maybe a limited missing relic?

    Max is panel lined?

If I had to make a bet it would be panel lined with a Gundam Pen. Look at the lower nose bottom left of the landing gear. See how it bleeds in and out.

If one use's a GDP for PL for best results they still need to scribe the surface as modern cold cast injection mold dies are triple micro polished so the plastic not only has a shiny clean surface but to also resist staining. well if your going to do that you might be better off just prepping, scribing and using a small feather brush to paint the lines. GDP really works better on certain things like Gundam were bandai formulates the plastic differently as they expect the model kits to be customized.

It could also be they are using an off brand Pen as the good ones are pricey around $20 a piece. I've never used a Gundam Pen on a 1/48 these are just guess's by me nothing in concrete here.

  12. I think Arcadia needs a new owner. I also suspect it was BW pushing them to release something due to it being the 40th. not releasing an updated version incorporating PF features and more! is really ridiculous in this day and age considering it just looks like a grey blob. even 3rd party TF and crappy knockoffs have better detail these days.  where is the drive to be better, to exceed expectations and offer an experience like no other. with all the newest production machines and methods in China it's sad to see a brand wasted like this and a chance give customers an exceeded experience. I suspect he only had to change factory's because he was not giving them enough business. This is a waste. yes I would to buy an SDF-1 but in this case someone would be better off just 3D printing one. this is one time a 4th party knockoff would be a good idea, they could make it better with much better detail. I'll send MuscleBear an Email.

I think the only thing going on right now is they are doing the adsalute minimum to keep the license from BW. that half empty uninspiring show booth says everything.

Yamato Died and it's soul went to heaven, that's all I see here.
