And earth still looks intact. So I would say.... DYRL designs with SDF1 story.... which is lame.
Isn't this exactly what some folks have been wanting for a long time? Sure as hell beats the other way around. =P

While realistic ammo would be nice... it would also mean 1 hit kills for you and the enemies... now... how muhc fun is that?
Could be pretty darned fun, for some... if there was actually a lot of gameplay in avoiding being hit. Even so, I suspect that "realistically" a Valk could take a few regult cannon or missle hits... depending on where it's hit, of course.

Not even the beginning saved AOTC like it did with TPM. AOTC only got good once Gianosis(sp) was introduced. Though... the boring parts weren't as painful as the boring parts in TPM were. <_<
I dunno man. Watching Titanic, on Naboo, was pretty fricking painful. Then again. The kid. Oh horrors. The kid.
Funny how the main character, Anakin, Mr. Darth Vader himself, has so far ruined all of the prequel movies.

TPM was cool.... untill they fled Naboo.... then for some reason everything sort of got less interesting from there.
The whole 3 different perspectives ending was pretty neat.... even though I wished they had blown Anakin out of the sky.
Now that you mention it, that's why I remembered liking TPM when I saw it... but decided that it stunk the more I thought about it in retrospect. The beginning was great, and the final battle wasn't too bad. The saber fight was amazing.
That whole part in the middle... right when they met Jar Jar.... continued by where they meet the annoying kid... is what made the movie stink in hindsight.
The stinking started a lot sooner in AOTC though. And didn't stop until Anakin laid waste to all the sandpeople. Then it was just CG fluff from there.

Lucas wrote all the stories. He didn't do all the directing or screeplays though.
Directing and screenplay is pretty much the meat and guts of a movie. The less Lucas has a hand in it, the better. Funny how many times Lucas' name appears on the credits is directly proportional to how crappy the movie is.

Sounds pretty darn corny. The only thing I like about the synopsis is the Weyland character. The concept sounds pretty good. Everything else wreaks of corn. In my opinion, Aliens Vs. Predator should take place in space, on some far off planet, mining colory, or space station. Not Earth. Not at first, anyway.

Not too bad, although it looks a tad disporportionate with rather skinny leg armor for a full armor setup... and makes it look a little topheavy with the wide set missle shoulder hatches. Passable, but I still gotta say the GBP and the armored VF-11 both still look a bunch better. Really like the backpack/thruster detail though.

another reason to check this site for updates. I'm definitely getting another one of these. MAybe make a TV version also, like the other guys suggested.
Woot! TV Roy! Although I don't know if Yamato would release a variant that on initial inspection, would have little difference from the DYRL Roy. Sure, we appreciate the differences (different cockpit, different hands, VF stickers, a TV pilot)... but I don't know if they'd go for that idea. At least all the molds are done with the VF-1J though. Maybe a super duper special edition.

5) ??????????? = TV Max and Kakizaki VF-1A
That would be sooo cool!!!
Yes yes yes!!
I don't understand why my precious TV Max-1A has been disowned by model makers and toy makers largely at this point. So sad.

Am I wrong or is that Joe Pantaliano (Cipher) opening his eyes, laying down, in the trailer? It's a close up and it happens during the first flashing images?
It would be interesting to see how they bring him back.
I think that's actually Bane, you know, the one that Agent Smith apparently possesses and controls in the "Real World".

… If Yamato included a separate cockpit/fuselage section which you can clip onto the arm of a another valk, just like in the TV episode? It would have to be a separate prop or accessory, no use hoping for the impossible. Who would pay a premium to get such an extra with the main toy?
Yes... yes... very cool. And maybe little manipulator arms for Roy's 1S too, that clips somehow onto its forearm. I've always wondered if the detachable cockpit was a feature exclusive to the 1D, or if it was common with all the VF-1's.

I guess I know what you mean. Well, actually I kind of like the mix, primarily because I really like the TV Max-1A, and consider it integral in bringing back some of the TV fight scenes... but it being mixed with the Red Millia is just wacky. I guess they tried to bring the best elements of both, retaining TV elements when appropriate or noteworthy and important to the scene (Max 1A, carrier arms)... and giving it a shot of DYRL (the actual model of the Valk/SDF-1).
Not that bad of a choice... But at the very least, I would have expected some consistency *within* a particular scene. You know, like have Millia actually be green. There's lots of ways to do hybrids of both series for something that's still convincing. Of course there are ways to screw it up.
